Well if he's the #1 pick he (and LSU likely) just had an amazing year. I hope it comes true.

You heard it here first, anyone that follows TM7 saw this at the same time you did. We just didn't think it was worth posting.

The kid sets goals and tries to accomplish them. That's what makes him a great player.

Because some people have to show everyone how serious and unbiased they are regarding their fandom by always trying to be the local sportswriter on here.

If you can't point out every flaw, dissect every play, question every call, or run a multi-million dollar program - then you are just a sunshine pumper who cannot accept reality. Oh, and take the P&G glasses off, as well - because things suck unless you're winning national championships every year in every sport.

Will Mathieu be the #1 pick in the NFL draft next year? I have no clue, and I willingly admit that I have no clue, but I certainly wish him all the best in his efforts to become that #1 pick.

As I've said before, the players and coaches read this board - I know this as fact. And, unfortunately, I think this board has been a factor in driving a small wedge between the fans and the players. That's only my opinion.

I just wish that we, as a collective group, supported the players a little more on here.

This. This guy has done more with less than any of you fricks. He made the Heisman finalist, let the kid set goals. He might set the field on fire next season and do the impossible.

He talks about winning and championships and team and working hard all the damn time. He doesn't need to include it in every tweet.

And his history doesn't suggest he gambles too much and tries to make highlight plays. History suggests he makes highlight plays, period. For every one over-aggressive mistake he makes, he makes ten "WOW!" plays to LSU's advantage.

You are going out of your way to find something wrong with his quote and his game, and saying "good luck" at the end doesn't make up for it.
