What the OP fails to realize is that Coach Brian Kelly is not just preparing these young men for a Saturday football game, but also for the game called life. Of the 85 players dressed out how many will be playing on a Sunday, and for how many years? The few that make it to the NFL and become super stars are few and far between. They need to be molded into men of character to be successful after their playing days are done

That's find but if he loses what does he teach them then! I can tell you! You loose your job! Ask Miles, O., and dozens in my lifetime! What did the consistant great coaches teach besides good grades! Something more important than grades!

Kelly is like Saban, he has a plan and he knows it works. Just recruit at our top 5 level and everything will be just fine. Kelly can coach.

Literally all that matters. All these people talking about culture blah blah blah. Just recruit the best players.

Things didn’t go to hell under O because he was recruiting low character players. They went to hell because O is a moron and it basically turned into a classroom of kids when they get a substitute teacher.

Kelly is a better coach, and an adult. Just recruit well and he will win. It doesn’t sound like he is being too hard. Sounds like he has a good balance of discipline and letting these guys have fun.

Remember, I said consistant winning coach and Sabin is the only one that fits that category and he can be fitted in the modes of Lombardi, Bryant, Fisher and the like.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree on what a “consistent winning”
coach is. Les is the winningest coach in LSU history, competing in two national championships. I’d argue he also had a fairly positive disposition. Dabo Swinny is another very successful coach who espouses a positive mindset.

whoever wrote this must've had a thesaurus handy and decided to substitute 75% of the words with the most difficult word possible.

The one that composed this post ostensibly possessed a thesaurus within arms reach and was determined to surrogate three quarters of the words with the most arduous words possible.

Lol dude you are too much. One of those names doesn't belong with the others.

What the hell has Fisher done as a head coach? Kelly is way more decorated and accomplished.

You got to be trolling.

My first suggestion is to go on YouTube and listen to the Jordy Culotta interview with Brad Davis the O line coach. If that doesn't ease your fear I don't know what to tell you. The oline and the team will develop into strong champions with the leadership of Kelly's staff

Yes, it was a snippet piece of time I did not hide that. I will take you up on your suggestions.

He had them work outside in the southern Louisiana weather, no matter the conditions. Is that not old school enough? I remember recent coaches having lots of indoor practices and how that had an affect on their conditioning throughout the season. This coach is making them work through those things because he knows they’ll be better for it during the season.

Kelly is demanding it all. Accountability from all players on and off the field. Building men not boys. Making them work through all those things that are not easy for boys to work through to become a man. This will benefit our team over time and even this season.

Yes, I caught that he wanted to work acclimate them to the weather in the south. He also spoke of slowly doing do for 6 days until full pads. Really have libs wrapped their protective bubbles around football players that they can't go out the first day in full pads now? My gosh Bryant would have been fired!

I gave you a legitimate reply and you responded with “no real thoughts just insults”. Posting a long, rambling, incoherent, emotional piece about why you don’t like BK because you overanalyzed the shite out of one comment he made isn’t worthy of legitimate discussion anyway

So where's your beef? LoL

Is it too much to say he can teach both? And still win? I mean he’s been pretty damn successful so far. Highest winning percentage among active coaches.

You really are mentally ill. People that politicize every aspect of life should probably just stay wrapped in tin foil and not type.
