TM7 with incredible pursuit again to get by Hanks' block and still make an incredible tackle on Maze.

it wasn't that bad man c'mon. We see much worse plays each game than that. He pulled the guy down from behind. We never saw how they got off the line of scrimmage either. Kirkpatrick could have given Mathieu a shot to the face to get off the line. No one knows for sure. It's a physical game. The guy has talked trash all year and now all of sudden people are on his arse becuase he smoked some fake weed and held a guy on the punt. Give me a break. He's a young kid.

Yall are seriously delusional. How about stop bashing the guy who DOES make the simple tackle. This entire statement is so hypocritical. He did everything he needed to outside of ONE boneheaded holding play (which actually was done to do what he thought was PROTECTING his teammate).

Iv'e never seen a fan base down their own player so bad..i didn't even see these many dirty threads when Nick Fairley speared Jordan Jefferson. I guess your know your good when you good a week without a turnover on defense and your fan base says you need work... Tyrann has spoiled this fan base to where they are ungrateful.

Watching that, I see TM grab the guy from the back, spin him around to the ground. That's a dirty play. He's lucky it wasn't a personal foul.

Let it go - these moronic imbecilic rantards are happier spewing their crap than listen or view the evidence that disproves them.

They cannot agree to what you say because it would cause Cognitive Dissonance and would render them even more stupid.

So why wasn't the linebacker tossed when hitting Sheppard a defenseless receiver helmet to helmet? or better yet why wasn't Drekirkpatrick suspended when he pulled Tyrann down by his facemask on the 1st punt of the second half? or why wasn't there suspensions for the late hit out of bounds the players could've fell awkward really hurting them

I don't agree with people saying he should have been suspended, but I do agree that it was an unnecessary, stupid and selfish play. Kirkpatrick was probably not going to get to OBJ in time to make the tackle. And even if he did get close, its OBJ job to make him miss. My guess is that this was not a play motivated by football instinct, but rather by a personal dislike for Dre Kirkpatrick (at least a personal dislike during the football game). That makes the play a selfish one.

TM7 needs to stop trying to be a highlight reel and simply play football. His great plays will happen within the framework of the team.

It looks worse at game speed but when you slow it down it wasn't a blatant mugging. The Bama fans around me at the game came unglued. I'm glad they didn't do a replay on the Jumbo trons, I feared for my life. Instead they flashed Zero Meth ads

Why is everyone so incensed about this play? Even if he did spin him around on purpose, what's so dirty about the play? He grabbed the guy, so what? that happens alot in football. Was I excited he did it? No. It was stupid and he got penalized. I don't see how this is suspendable. OLinemen grab guys and spin them around like this 10-15 times in every game. At least he did it during the play and not after the play or out of bounds.

You people are retarded.

I am not even sure why Alabama people are so mad. Dude drew the flag. They aren't throwing people out for spinning someone around. That's just stupid. And if its holding or unsportsmanlike, what's the diff? its still half the distance to the goal.

Let me take it even further for you. It is not a penalty for clothes lining. It is not a penalty to hit a guy in the kneck. It's not a penalty to hit a guy in the shoulder or chest. There is no rule that says you can't Ultimate Warrior style clothes line a guy to the ground. The ONLY reason it was a penalty at all is because Dre was spun around. That turn made it a holding call. And if Dre doesn't hit his head on the ground, even Bama fans aren't talking about it today. This thread is a perfect example for why we have some of the worst fans in college football.

Try looking at it this way. Mathieu didn't know where the ball was at the time. Kirkpatrick ran past him and was about to put the wood down on Beckham who wasn't going to fair catch.

Lets just say that Kirkpatrick puts a lick on OB and the ball comes free inside the 5.

That penalty may have saved the game for us.

You just don't get it. Honey badger don't give a shite about the hype! He don't give a shite about nothing but taking what he wants. I don't give a crap if he punches him in the balls on that play. He was about to flatten Beckam and homey badger struck hard. No one ever said honey badgers made good pets.

Exactly what I was thinking when the play happened. If anybody here thinks Kirkpatrick wasn't going to blow OBJ up, you're fooling yourself. Would it have been dirty for CB to hold on a deep route when his wideout has him beat? Absolutely not. Everybody would have said "smart play, great kid."

What? If it was that obvious, OBJ would have been calling for a fair catch. So TM7 knew that OBJ had no room to make a return and also knew that he wasn't going to call for a fair catch? That's absurd.

That is such a stretch. It could literally be said about every play.

What if instead of throwing his first interception, Lee would have found an open receiver downfield. Let's just say that said receiver fumbles the ball and Bama runs it back for 6. That interception may have saved the game for us.

For everyone pissed at the Honey Badger, go back and look at LSU's punt before that one. Kirkpatrick was holding TM7's face mask all the way down the field and got no call.

Flagrant foul or not...it was uncalled for and he's probably lucky he didn't get tossed. Do I think he should be suspended...no. But I do hope CLM and Chavis sit him down and get his head straight. I'd rather see him make tackles than always trying to make another highlight video.
