Three of the best head coaches in CFB (Saban, Les, and Jimbo) picked Jamarcus over Flynn and yet this dumbass thinks it was the wrong decision

FIRST OFF... I'm saddened by this news due to our now lack of scholly depth at the most important position on the field. As some pointed out, at least we still have Bolden as an emergency insurance policy.

Second, I wish the young man well and hope he has "the chest" to do well elsewhere.

From a strictly passing mechanics standpoint, he was the most polished. Now if he had trouble reading defenses, that I don't know.

PLEASE tell me this is a joke or just a wild assumption on your part. At the Spring Game this year his throwing motion was somewhere between shot put throwing and mid-upper end HS skill.

If you are serious, then I am only left to believe that you are:

A) blind
B) ignorant
C) racist
D) all of the above

This is a problem everywhere. Texas Tech lost 4 or 5 QBs after the 2013 season, leaving only Webb as the only scholarship QB and he only has one walk on backup. Two QBs left Oregon within the last two months. FSU loses Coker, USC loses Wittek, TAMU lost one and could lose another next year, UT just lost one, Florida lost one, Bama lost one, K State lost one, etc. It's been a FA the past couple years in the offseason.

I'm just sick of our coaches running off the pocket passers. First Rivers, now Rettig. Can't they see the success they had with Mett under Cam?

Meter wasn't successful solely because he was a pocket passer.

He was successful because he was very good.

This. Good luck to rettig.

I'm just astonished that these crazies think this is some Les miles conspiracy. The best player will play if they put in the work.

if Harris and Jennings are bad, we might wish we had Rettig to see what he has before going into 2015

Best of luck to him. Hate to lose him but I guess he was running well behind the others.

It's the right decision. Our staff wants a dual threat QB and so that's what we need to have throughout the roster. We can't be stuck with having an offense for 2 QB's and one for the other 2 (Rivers, Rettig).

However, we have got to sign at least one QB every year.

He didn't really care for Louisiana, I had class with him and I asked him what he was doing for Mardi Gras, he was like I'm goin home and go to my dad's beach house I'm not staying here. Cali sunshine kid with a rich pops. Also said he wasn't worried abt the NFL he said he'd probably work for his dad's business. Nice dude and all but I feel like he wasn't really worried abt football that much. Not saying he didn't want to play but he just wasn't as hungry.
