Have we heard the last of "Neck"?

Didn't get to go to the game Saturday but was able to watch it on tv. I never heard "Neck" during the broadcast. Is it a goner?

Dumb to change it for that reason, the SS will make something up for every chant that has words. "Win" will be exiled in a season or two, they might as well just keep the good ones. Besides, that's whatmakes the SS great at LSU, abunch of rowdy kids that get into the game and the band cheers, suck that tiger D*** is funny and really what everyone in the stadium is thinking towards the other team (whether the way some think is PC or not it's the same principle deep down) It's Death Valley and it's one of the craziest student sections there is, let them play, for a lack of better words

I wish the student section would stop the "whew" during the song the band plays between offensive plays. Sounds pretty gay to me.

Beleive it or not I heard the University of Connecticut band playing "Neck" after their women's basketball team beat Baylor the other night. I thought it was hillarious! Can you imagine? Connecticut is about as white as it gets!

I understand both sides so I don't think I'm a moron for wanting to keep it, just think that eventually the band won't be able to play anything except the same monotonous songs over and over with nothing fun all game (see florida, bama, utenn, georgia, and south carolina)
If that's the case we might as well just let the band play the battle hymn of the republic all day and hand out pom poms every game like all the wussy fans at the above schools.

The lack of creativity with the student section is painful at times. I fully expect them to make a gigantic fart noise and giggle madly at the end of a song.
While they are definitely one of the more imposing student sections in the nation, they could learn a thing or two from the Duke basketball student section this winter. They are as imposing and creative as it gets without resorting juvenile taunts any middle schooler could create. Of course, it probably has something to do with them being smart.

Little harsh, all I'm saying is that profanity won't stop and taking away the songs makes the SS want to do them more. This saturday the SS did the oh-wee-oh chant (profane version) without the band. Now I'm not one for the F-word or GD pr really b*tch, but if the worst thing the SS is doing is saying dick then let it go. It's better then them getting tired with the band not playing what they want and becoming restless which can lead to glass pints and drinks being thrown everywhere, LSU needs to get that under control before they start trying to screen the students language
