You can see his hands on the laces of the ball as he crashes down and the ball never was released from his grip even though it did touch the ground.

The ball came out, but it doesn't matter at that. I don't care what bunch says.

Ummm, that's who ruled it a catch to start with. Just saying.

One of the things that surprised/pissed me off the most is that going into the replay, the only question that the commentators were discussing was whether it was a TD or whether Barion went out on the 1 yard line. I think that's what everyone thought they were looking at.

Ok, so the refs were wrong when they ruled that Sharp fumbled, because that should have been an incompletion as well.

The two plays aren’t similar.

You’re right. Brown had done way more to establish possession than Sharp. Yet somehow the pass to Sharp was ruled a fumble and the pass to Brown was ruled incomplete.

If Sharp completed the catch and established possession, so did Brown. Period.

I hate what is considered a catch now in football. Imo, you need possession and a foot down. That's it.

Who gives a frick what happens when you hit the ground?

Regardless the rules for a catch are retarded. If you have the ball with a foot down in the end zone, that’s it. The plays done. The ground shouldn’t matter anymore.

Barion did not control the ball through impact with the ground so there never was a catch.

Bs. His second foot went out of bounds. Before he went to the ground. That’s true if the catch was completely in the end zone. The catch was outside the end zone.

You are in serious need of an ophthalmologist.

I have 20/20 vision.

You are here just to argue.

It was a catch.

It was the right call. It wasn’t a catch. Per the rule.

Rules Expert with tons of experience - it was a TD

Doofus on the internet - it wasn’t a catch

I’ll go with the expert

Weird how the network hired a retired referee who is a rule expert, to review plays and provide analysis…..that’s ignorant of the rules of CFB.

They should be hiring internet experts like Fun Bunch. He knows more about the rules than the guy that did it for a career.

Host on XM college sports Sunday this morning argued the correct call was made by the letter of the rule.

The co-host basically bailed and said something like, "I don't know what a catch is anymore."
