friend of mine played under Miles. He has been on NFL rosters. He has a very, very low opinion of Miles.

I wish more would speak out publicly.

I think anyone that respects a friendship or has a lick of common sense will not say: "Insert Name" told me Miles is a no talent arse clown.
I agree.

If they haven't played for him then how the hell would they know any more than the average fan? I'm sure the vast majority of them know how hard it is to post a 51-14 record playing in a big-boy conference. I'm sure most of them understand that when you are forced to dismiss an uber-talented qb like Perriloux it can cause problems on offense and defense. I'm sure there are some who question Miles but I have to believe most understand what he has accomplished at LSU. JMHO.

Hester - credited Saban
Do you not own the 'Heart of Geauld' DVD? Hester is the one who presented Miles with the game ball after the Bama game and credited Miles.

Hester would never have been a household name under Saban. I think that Hester would not have been a 1000 yard running back under Saban that he was under Miles because Saban/Fisher probably would not have used him the same way. Miles/Crowton made Hester a hero (see UF v. LSU, 2007).

That is not a slam on Saban or praise for Miles, just an opinion that Hester's role would have been different under a different coach. Saban recruited him, Miles gave him the chance to prove himself.

Wow what a great breaking news story.

How about frick you. I went to high school and worked with this guy, I've known him for about 12 years. I would see him occasionally around BR when he would be in town. Trust me, when I said he has a low opinion that is an understatement. I can't say that he speaks for all former Miles players, but I know he was a Saban recruit. That could have something to do with it. But seriously, go jump off a bridge.

This is a dumb thread, every coach in America has players that have low opinions of them!!

I don't think anybody on this board that played football can't name a player on their team that didn't like or have a low opinion of a coach.

It's like this board they are a thousand different opinions of what people think of a coaches decisions during a game and what they would have done differently.

I'm sure if you asked enough people, someone would say they had a low opinion of every coach there is.

And, regardless of the Bama coach's obvious ability as a college head coach, Don Shula (who knows a little something about football, winning, class, professionalism, etc.) has a VERY, VERY low opinion of Saban.

So, what does that prove? Nothing...

You do know that Shula left Baltimore to go to Miami for more money, right?
