actually those helmets were the first time we have worn gold in over 50 years...We have been wearing yellow

This. I loved those helmets.

how many of you here felt confident against OK when our offense had the ball?

I did. I knew Justin Vincent would run in down their throats. Didn't he have something like 200 yards that game?

Germans? Everybody knows LSU won a national title in 2003. Everybody knows USC also won a national title in 2003. Its called a "split national championship."

Well then we really need to get them that half of the crystal ball and BCS NCG money. They've been missing it for a few years.

National Championships are won by finishing 1st in a poll at the end of the season.

Damn, I learn new things every day. I thought for sure you actually had to play a National Championship game to win a National Championship.

USC still won a national title in 2003. Just because they didn't say BCS means nothing.

Fo real? Mind sending me a pic of their 2003 crystal ball?

People who can elect the likes of Barney Franks and Ted Kennedy to Congress shouldn't be referring to anyone about being a dummy.

Just what I was thinking. :rotflmao:

Finebaum was talking to Mrs. Saban after the SEC CG and he said this is no big deal for y'all as you have experienced this before and her reply was, We have never experienced anything like this before.

She also told the state of Louisiana that she and her husband were going to watch their oak trees grow old in Baton Rouge. They had a restaurant for gods sake!

Not saying hes going to leave, but it definitely isn't out of the question.

Better hope he doesn't get into any extra-marital affairs or he may leave to cover his tracks!
Nick "from-the-ground-up" Saban.

Sorry, someone had to say it.

Had to Google that one. And look what I found :rotflmao:

LSU - SEC
Penn St. - Big Ten

Exactly, so lets just email Joe Pa and tell him we surrender. Tell ND they can have our bid.

again why arent we wearing the new uni's?

This. The new helmets are bawlin'!

Sometimes you have to live in the present, and not worry about the future.

Sure hope the people pulling the strings in the LSU athletic department don't think this way.
quote:

I think Les Miles chokes during the regular season on purpose, then when everybody is like "fire him!", "Hire a new Coach!", "Hail Hitler!", then he shows the secret playbook. The bowl wins don't lie. No game has even been close.

I thought we were going to get taken to the woodshed last year by that triple option, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Not gonna bet against an undefeated bowl season, that's for sure.
quote:

I don't think he is incompetent on purpose. I believe he truly is incapable of sustained competence. I do not believe this is exaggerated by any means. 9 years as a HC and he pulls off the Ole Miss debacle, which is regarded nationally as one of the worst coaching blunders in CFB history. That's not even a negatiger view, that's objective uninvolved opinions.

But he just wants to "forgive" and eventually people start to forget about it. If people forget about it, it doesn't start to add up. It's easier to forgive a mistake if you don't remember the last time you forgave, and the time before that.

If a woman marries a good man and he becomes an alcoholic and beats her, but she forgives him and it keeps happening, it's her own fault if she stays.

Yes, Les Miles has given us some fantastic memories and great seasons. Maybe it has made you forget about all of the easily prevented mistakes. Maybe, to you, it has masked the stench of undisciplined chaos on the sidelines that I can smell at gametime from Houston, over the aroma of BBQ ribs.

In the end what would you rather: the sheep who follows blindly, or the sheep who constantly finds fault with the flock. In terms of fan-dom, the sheep who follows blindly is a thousand times better (in my opinion).

You must be an Obama supporter because that's what he would love everyone to do. Blindly follow.

I would rather find and admit faults, rather than making excuses and blindly support an obvious institutional failure. (Not that Miles is a failure by anyone's definition.)
quote:

Last year was one of the freakiest years ever, when our qb should have been learning to be a great qb he got screwed by an unbelievable case of bad luck (Pick 6's and all)

You call that bad luck? You must not have noticed all of the confusion on the sidelines ALL YEAR LONG. I don't think any freshman QB could have been successful in that position.

The COACHES didn't give JL the best chance for success.
I don't think I made any exaggerated negative statements. Unless of course it's in the heat of the moment. Say, a couple weeks ago in Oxford? Yea.
quote:

I hate our fricking fans. Not only do they hate on our team, they hate on former players. Players that have won championships for us.

Love Laron bro, but he is making an arse out of himself at the moment.
quote:

Can you name any big mistakes with Alabama's game? Does your heart soar when looking at the replays of Cody's FG block? You might be a Tide fan.

Actually I was joking. I have yet to see the blind side. That is not the point though. I am a Nick Saban fan, but that doesn't make me a tide fan, or any less of a Tiger fan.

Reguardless of whether or not I am a "negatiger."
I AM A TIGER DAMNIT!

My desire to see my team play up to its potential doesn't make me any less of a fan. I'm not the person you see ripping Miles every chance he gets and predicting doom. But I am competent enough to notice and point out his many flaws when it's called for. :pimp:
