Threw Skenes last Friday and he threw a complete game saving our pitchers the rest of the weekend. Then delaying today so Skenes could do most of the work and not even burning Money.

It's almost as if he gets paid millions of dollars because he knows more about how to coach baseball than the fricking morons on this board that sit on their fat asses and watch him.

People believing Jay can predict the weather is bad enough, but even worse is that they think delaying the game is his decision. It's not. He has no say, and I don't know why people continue to believe otherwise, despite repeatedly being told it's not up to either team.

Funny you say that just an hour after he admitted to having a say.

He literally said in his press conference he spoke to the person running the regional last week, who's the same person running this week, that he wasn't happy about last Sunday and that they need to take things in consideration.

That's literally a "say"

It's almost as if you don't know the rules, and are giving him credit for something he had nothing to do with.

The people who are both mad, or happy with Jay over the delay or both wrong.

That is giving an opinion. An opinion which can be completely ignored if the actual decision maker chooses to.

Are you aware that voicing your opinion, and "having a say" are not the same thing? "Having a say" does not mean literally just saying something. It means you have some type of control over a situation, or at least a vote.

Jay Argues with umpires, too. Does that mean he has a say in what the umpires rule?

What’s it like up there at the top of that ivory tower

I learned that phrase from Friends in Low Places

So you don't know what having a say means either, do you?

You wanna sit there and act like I'm being a know-it-all? I'm going on what has been said for years, and what was said during the broadcast, once again: The teams do not make these decisions. People can believe that they influence the decisions, if they wish, but they don't get to make any decision.

OK, fine, he has a "say". He didn't make the "call" though. He doesn't have that authority. I'm sure Mingione had a "say" as well

If me knowing something makes me seem like a know-it-all, I don't know what you want me to do about that. When you post on a board full of ignorant people, the few who actually know something about what they're talking about get ostracized for having the nerve to correct anyone. And I'm probably one of the more mild mannered people on here. But when I see hero worship going on, and people making things up out of thin air to praise or defend a player or coach, I tend to have something to say about it.

Of course he has a say in LSU’s home Super regional. He just can’t make the decision.

And when they asked Ben McDonald during the game about the delay he said that they ask BOTH coaches for their input, but it's ultimately the NCAA's decision to make. So this narrative that you, Moscona and the rest of you dumbasses try to run with is just loud and wrong. Know what you're talking about before you say anything. And seeing how many stupid arse threads you've started tonight, I think you should just be quiet.
