Except that Hatch fricked up a handoff to Charles Scott against Florida.

I think you must not have been paying attention last season.

Still don't know why we ran so much shotgun our first three offensive possessions. We gave up on the run after falling behind, big mistake.

in my opinion....this is why we lost!!...should have kept giving it to CS!!! to wear them down!!!

well i glad i can have an intelligent discussion with people on this board...my opinion vs yours but i just get trashed for speaking my mind

bottom line...in MY opinion i think hatch should be the starter...i honestly dont care that he cant make a 50 yard pass...if we need a hail mary cool we can bring in lee but all im saying is lee is going to continue to get torn apart in the SEC

hopfully he proves me wrong this weekend.

The problem with Hatch's throwing arm is not that he can't toss the deep ball (it doesn't help that he can't, but it doesn't matter on most plays), it's that he doesn't put nearly the zip on the ball that Lee does. When our receivers break to the left or right on their routes and get a step or two on the defender, you want the ball to get there as quickly as possible so the defender doesn't have time to get in there and make a play on it.

You're getting trashed because you are speaking like you know a lot about things when you really don't.

You said we need Hatch to run our spread offense, then quoted something about a spread option.

We've NEVER run a spread option offense, and won't be doing so any time soon.

You do NOT need a fast QB to run a spread offense.

Hatch sucks. IT IS NOT ONLY ABOUT BEING ABLE TO THROW THE BALL OVER 50 YARDS. ARE YOU RETARDED? The fact that Lee has a stronger arm allows him to make A LOT more throws, especially intermediate ones. Hatch simply can't put enough zip on the ball to make the throws needed.

I have a better idea. Hatch and Lee should roatate starting every other game. That way in about 3 years, we'll have two QB's with experience!

Hatch is a nice in game transition, but Lee should be starting the rest of the season.

and Hatch did earn the starting role and didn't do anything to lose it...just injury

no hatch did suck as a QB, while lee is a good QB

he didn't lose his job to injury

he lost his job b/c lee is a much, much better QB

LSUred, would you like to not only throw away this season by starting Hatch but also sacfrice next season as well. This season will be instrumental in Lee's development. It is not that we need 50 yard bombs but Hatch can throw the 5 yard out much less get a first down on 3rd and long, shite even 3rd and 5. So go ahead lets start Hatch so we can get ready for the Independence Bowl and baseball season. You, my friend, equal the definitin of an idiot

hatch has about 10 dropped picks in his short time this year. this = myth

and flynn made his share of mistakes. what games were you watching last year?

Lee is a much better quarterback than Hatch. He has 10 times the ability of Hatch. The reason he just needs experience. In the future he is going to be one of the best quarterbacks LSU has ever had. You have just got to give him time to develop. I think Miles makes a mistake whenever he takes Lee out during a drive to put Hatch in for one play. This takes any quarterback out of his rythym, and it messes up the whole drive. The one successful drive that we had in the first half against Florida, Lee was in for the whole drive. He got in a rythym because they let him sit back in the gun and survey the field. If he can get in a rythym against South Carolina then the gamecocks better start leaving the stadium early.
