We would've lost that Florida game no matter who was starting.

You would be singing a different song if we had won at florida and you were prob all for Lee after Auburn.

i mean to be honest...no

i was happy that lee brought us the win but i can honestly say i never felt safe with him at QB...and no shite id be "singing a different song" if we would have won at florida...the reason i posted this is because he proved to me in the florida game that hes not ready to take control of this team yet and he should not be the starter

Outperformed at Auburn. LSU had 16 yards passing in the first half of that game. 16.

if you recall, lee had only 5 of those 16...plus a pick 6...so how can you even speak of the first half of the auburn game?

TigerStuckinOkieland stated things nicely...well done!

im not saying lee wont develop into the better QB...i know he will...we all know he will...just because he has a bright future doesnt mean we play him now. russell sheppards goign to have a bright future...should we start him over lee next year? hell no.

B/c the biggest difference in that game was QB play from the first to the second half. W/ Lee LSU's offense was able to operate as designed.

You think Florida stacked the box against us, with Hatch they will have 2 DE 8 DT and 1 LB to cover the deep threat

How could you honestly conclude that the problem for us against Florida was that we didn't have Hatch starting at QB? 2 Florida td drives in the 3rd that the D didn't do shite to stop was what lost LSU the game.

I just can not believe people want Hatch starting. It just seems stupid to me. That guy is terrible

You DON'T have to throw it 50 yards. BUT, having an arm strong enough to do THAT probably means that you can throw an out pattern BEFORE the DB breaks on it and is able to pick it off. Now, if JL could stop telegraphing the screen pass to KW, we'd be in bizness!!!

People need to stop saying Hatch didn't do anything to lose the starting job. That may be true but Lee did something to earn the starting job. He led us to a comeback victory against an auburn team that Hatch couldn't move the ball against. Then he followed that up with a good performance against Miss State.

You got a good look at the arm of Hatch when he heaved the ball at the end of the first half against Auburn and it still was 5-8 yards short of the endzone with a running start. J. Russell could have made that throw with his left hand

I think im one of the few who thinks hatch should be the starting QB...everyone was so quick to praise lee as the stater b/c of his one good half...not game...half against auburn, only because hatch got injured. hatch spent months trying out for the starting role and won it, and and injury for one game should not lose him his starting role. yes i know he cant throw the ball as far as lee can, but how often do we throw 50 yard passes anyway? seems like every time lee drops back, i cringe in fear of the INT thats coming. i have no doubt that lee will be the better QB in the long run, but as of right now i think we're rushing him, and the safer, smarter, more reliable QB is hatch.

How are things, Andrew?

Bench a possible 4 year starter/All-SEC caliber talent at QB for Hatch....

do you just not understand?

i KNOWWWWW I UNDERSTAND lee will be a very good QB in his next 3 years....hes still a freshman...his next three years are not today. theyre in 3 years.

hatch just rnus the offense...it may take away the threat of the long play ball but it opens the threat of a scramble. you give/take with each QB...with lee back there you can put 1 DL and 10 DBs..hes not gunna scramble. with hatch back there they have to honor the run and pass game

i just personally think hes smarter, safer, and just runs the offense better....crowtons specialty is the spread...how can we run that with a pocket passer?

Will the way our fans think ever change btw? It seems the backup QB is always more liked than the starter.
