I think im one of the few who thinks hatch should be the starting QB...everyone was so quick to praise lee as the stater b/c of his one good half...not game...half against auburn, only because hatch got injured. hatch spent months trying out for the starting role and won it, and and injury for one game should not lose him his starting role. yes i know he cant throw the ball as far as lee can, but how often do we throw 50 yard passes anyway? seems like every time lee drops back, i cringe in fear of the INT thats coming. i have no doubt that lee will be the better QB in the long run, but as of right now i think we're rushing him, and the safer, smarter, more reliable QB is hatch.

If Hatch could win us a title, you could make that arguement. But he can't, so you can't. Pointless to hold back the future so that we can achieve mediocrity now. Anyway IMHO, Lee is better now than Hatch is now.

Same shortsighted argument people used against JR.

We have a boatload of talent at qb the next few seasons. Jarett Lee should be a good qb for us in the future with the game experience at Auburn and Florida.

No, it's not. It's the reason your thread is idiotic.

Lee is going to be very special by the time he's done at LSU.

Hatch should start.....to think about the coaching career he will probably get into once he graduates from LSU.

You would be singing a different song if we had won at florida and you were prob all for Lee after Auburn. He is going to have freshmen struggles but hatch is not the solution for our every down qb. Passing game would be non-existing if not for Lee!!!

agreed....see my previous posts, even after the heroic Auburn effort by Lee....I'll trust Les and Crowton on their choices here, but my thoughts are...

Lee is our QB for the future, and certainly deserves to share time with Hatch, but it's obvious that the kid needs some pressure taken off of him, and Hatch did earn the starting role and didn't do anything to lose it...just injury.....if Hatch can get the team back on track with a dose of a running/scrambling game, it might buy some time for our guys to get their act together on the OLine and Defense for the late push......not sure either, though, are going to win us any championships....the way the team looks now, QB is not necessarily the BIG problem, just one of many......I'm still hopefully, though, that the UF game was an anomoly, and players all around got a huge "wakeup call".

Outperformed at Auburn. LSU had 16 yards passing in the first half of that game. 16. You need a QB that can pass the ball effectively to score points in the SEC. Hatch can't get that done, Lee can.

the only reason Hatch got the job was by default. hatch was older, Crowton's guy and was the back up last year. Lee, in the meantime, was injured and missed alot of ST. This is the whole reason Hatch was ven in there in the first place. He is not SEC material

people who want hatch will be calling for lee again when they see that he can't complete a pass over 5 yards.

lee may not be great right now, but i believe he is a long term solution that will do great things at LSU. the same cannot be said about hatch.

If he had won the job then Lee wouldn't have received as much playing time in the first few games.

Lee is the QB. Hatch will get situational snaps. The end.
