I think he’s pressing a little bit. It’s a contract year for him and with the lack of ABs in the fall, it’s added up to a bit of a slow start. I also think the pitchers are pitching a bit different to him. He seems to be getting beat on inside pitches more often. I think the scouting report is to bust him inside and he hasn’t adjusted yet. He’ll eventually figure it out.

It seems like everyone else on the team is more patient at the plate and gets the pitchers deep in the count. Tommy stands out with first and second pitch swings at anything within range

When you're one of the most feared hitters in the NCAA you have to hunt fastballs early in the count. He doesn't have the same protection around him that he had in last years lineup. If a pitcher gets ahead of him he's not going to get anything to hit

He’s putting the ball in play more than anyone on the team. All of the other starters and at least one backup have struck out more than he has. He’s still batting over .300 and knock the shite out of the ball a couple already this week. He’ll be fine.

It’s like he feels he can hit any pitch out of the park if he can touch it, so swing!

He kinda can if he get ahold of it.

Is it just me or is his at bat stance getting comically low?

I think the time missed from surgery has hindered him. Which is understandable.

He basically didn't play baseball from July to January.

I pray to God teams follow NDSU's lead and keep shifting him. What a joke.. have you seen his freshman or sophomore tape?

Tommy White hit a lot of balls to the opposite field but those were mostly his deep balls if I’m remembering correctly. I’d like to know the percentages on his ground balls. I think you will prove to be correct, though.

He hit a foul ball 113 mph in the game today.

this narrative that Tommy is "struggling" is ridiculous lmfao.
