Has there been any news on who will fill this spot for the baseball coaching staff yet?

We're not in Omaha, so there's no need to bring in someone this year.

It's a kind of dumb position.
You can't hire a guy specifically to handle responsibilities for possibly two weeks every year and pretty much nothing else.
You also can't hire a guy and have him work all year toward the one specific goal of the program and not let him join the program in Omaha.
The actual role is just going to be an administrative one to help handle logistics instead of having a game day role on the staff. It's a very low level role. Because Jay isn't going to delegate evals just because they're in Omaha.

Agreed. Nobody is going to take over the roll of recruiting for Jay while he’s unavailable/busy. They will likely add a couple recruiting assistants. That will help coordinate schedules and logistics for all recruiting departments for all teams/sports.

Really all you need is some coed following Jay around with the recruiting cellphone and hand it to him whenever a kid calls or texts.
