Man this place is so toxic for LSU football, unfortunately. I'm hoping for a huge season this Fall partly to shut all these people up as well as the usual reasons.

I used to love the Rant but it's become depressing here.

because ive seen one poster say that we should be happy with the 4 loss 2017 season because Vandy and Kentucky would like that record

This.

And for people giving Ed props for winning 9 in his first season, it's worth noting that of those 9 wins, 4 were against teams who fired their coaches at the end of the season, 1 was against Ole Miss who was in a tailspin due to Hugh Freeze, and 1 was against an FCS school.

We barely managed to win against Syracuse (at home). We beat a 4-9 BYU team. The only win where we exceeded expectations was Auburn, but only after going down 3 TDs before they took their foot off our throat.

So my expectations for this season are low, to say the least.

I love Jimbo Fisher. I strongly believe he was responsible for LSU Football's 2006-2007 season which resulted in a win over ND in the 2007 Allstate Sugar Bowl. Jamarcus Russell became a NFL first round draftee due to his and the entirety of the squads performance versus a talented Notre Dame powerhouse. My gripe with J. Fisher is he projects illiterate speaking skills. That is death. IMO

No, it has not changed. There still is not a Top Shelf HC that would take the LSU job because of the fanbase...

I was optimistic and on the O bandwagon till the team came out with low energy, and no better than they were last season. After Troy I was done. This team has showed nothing to hang your hat on since. The program is going the wrong way and if you deny that you are blind. However, les should have been fired a year before he was because the program was on a clear downward path. That’s on LSU. It is also on LSU that O was hired. He was nowhere near a qualified candidate.

Pretty sad sequence of events to be honest. I don't think anyone would have screamed for Miles's job had we known O was the replacement.

Ok I don’t understand why every time I say something at all it gets immediately disliked even if it’s helpful.

LSU football has nearly become irrelevant on the national stage and is just another SEC program.

Let’s see, I bet you’re another one who says, “recruits read this board!”

Those who believe recruits make decisions based on some fan message board are probably also dumb enough to believe that Jesus says,

“Welp, I’m gonna have to kill that little girl with cancer. She didn’t get enough Facebook likes!”

Ed Orgeron is LSU’s coach and you’re complaining about Jimbo Fisher’s Speaking skills?

You ARE dumb.

Before being sold this shite sandwich:

"You know what, I think it could work. O can recruit and lock that down, and if we get an offensive guru to come in and coach up the offense then what could go wrong?"

After being sold the shite sandwich and hand picking coaches from nursing homes:

"shite. We've been duped"

Nah. The shite show that took place when it was leaked that Miles was going to be fired, wasn't, then was fired midseason is all on the LSU administration. No LSU fan wanted that clusterfrick to happen. LSU may or may not have ended up with a coach of Orgeron's "stature" even if they had handled the firing of Miles with a little bit of forethought, but LSU, not the fans, shot itself in the foot when it couldn't figure out how to properly handle getting rid of Miles.

yea - how dare we demand excellence when we sit in a recruiting hotbed with no real in-state competition, have top-notch facilities, support, tradition, etc?

We expect excellence ... and we're called whiney girls.

Just wow.
