Remember, OOC have to agree to LSU wearing white at home. SEC teams have to wear dark if we elect to wear white.

I'm guessing this detail was worked out before we agreed to pay Georgia Southern One Gazillion dollars to come play us.

incorrect. Home opener, we ALWAYS wear white. all following non-conference home games, we wear purple.

We don’t need permission anymore. It’s not 1995

This. Also, we dictate the terms when we schedule these non-power 5s.

I initially thought the same thing, but I'm not so sure anymore:

By rule the visiting team must wear white jerseys. This means white, which does not
include light gray, pale yellow, etc. The home team may wear white, but only if they get
written agreement with the visiting team before the season starts (Rule 1-4-5-b).

Then why did Oregon State say in 2004?

Unless its an SEC game, the opponent must give LSU permission to wear white at home.

If I had to guess in the contract that the schools signed to agree to play the game there is a clause that states LSU’s rule on when they wear white and when they wear purple.

Some schools may decide to negotiate that clause. I remember Oregon State wearing white in that opener.

I would imagine that was settled when the contract was signed.

Aren’t we paying them a shite load of money? I’m gonna assume they don’t get a say in uniform color. Know your role.

As long as we wear white or purple I'll be happy.

After the Oregon State game in 2004, I suspect jersey color is negotiated into the contracts for all non-conference home games, especially for G5 games.
