Lost huge to Bama, Ole Miss, Arkansas

Finished ranked about 106th passing.

Passing game wasn't getting any better in early 2016

The offense had Fournette, Williams AND Guice.

Holy cow. .

It was more than one year. Texas Bowl, Music City Bowl, Outback Bowl, and Chicken Bowl was a decided step down from where they’d been.

Different Arkansas team. 2016 was a year with some extreme bad sec defenses. How many games did les lose with 200 yards rushing?

Possibly. Miles was 5-5 vs Arkansas during his time with LSU. That cant be dismissed as an automatic win.

It doesn't matter what his record vs Arkansas was. What was his record vs teams with a bottom 20 rushing defense?
He wouldve did exactly the same thing that O did vs Arkansas.

Well he wasn't there because his team couldn't pass the football and lost 5 of 9 games.

So we can make believe all day long about what he could have done.

And yet here we are in 2018 and we still can't pass the football.

Of course record matters. Thats the only thing that matters. Every coach has that one opponent (or a few) that just plays them well. For Les it was always Arkansas and Florida. Each team just always played it close.

One of Mile's first games against Arkansas we had 204 yards rushing and lost. I dont know what Mile's record was when we rushed for 200+ yards. Im sure any coaches will be high.

Orgeron is 1-1 vs. Florida (0-2 vs. Mullen). I guess we can't reasonably expect him to win that game going forward?

I agree. You cant expect that to be a W year in and year out. Whats your argument here?

We should almost never expect it to be a win based off his current record against them

I agree. Thats true. That will be a tough game for him to win year in and year out. He better fix his game if he wants to compete. And Aranda better as well (only reason I say Aranda is bc Mullen said he knows his tricks and tendencies post game). I have nothing against Aranda whatsoever.

Absolutely not. UF is a quality program.

Exactly. We're now using past records as the primary reason why LSU should/should not win a given game?

No thanks.

LSU can no longer reasonably expect to beat Florida. Got it.

I guess 10-2 is LSU's ceiling next year. Can't wait.

What’s really not being discussed is that we didn’t think about tying the bonus to TD%

Redzone % just means you can kick 37 yard and shorter FG regularly

Oh please tell me how he did nothing to deserve the bonus for limiting turnovers and red zone scoring.

Well we were awful in the redzone, so there's that.

Wait. If you dont want to use past records, then why is the argument that Miles would have absolutely beaten arkansas because "whats his record when he rushes for 200 yards"?

I mean thats a fricking record

How does one apply but not the other?

No one can reasonably expect to beat Florida except for Alabama.
