We were 29th. Where did you pull your number from?

Our rushing offense was 59th. So we were in the top 50%. I guess that is really good
You've been talking about 2016 that whole time, but now you're going to use 2018's rushing rank?
LSU was 21st in 2016.

Is it really resorting to name calling when shite is flung at me constantly? People cheerfully lie about me everyday on this board. Then have the nerve to call me a liar over some of the weakest shite ever. You can down me all you want. You can look down on me and think what you want about me but I plan on defending myself on this board. While I won't be nearly as vicious I still plan on defending myself.
There is nothing wrong with defending yourself.
The problem is, and this goes for both sides of this argument, when you start name calling, the other side of the debate just digs their heals in even more. Both sides of this argument are guilty of name calling. I’ve read enough on here to have see that numerous times.
The issue is, you seem to be taking a stance that is rather unpopular on here. Your stance is that Ensminger did a good job this year. And, to tell the truth, you can find some statistics to support that stance.
Then there are the others who watched the games and saw just how bad the offense struggled at times to even get a first down. They watched what appeared to be a very boring style offense that failed to score against the mighty Bama yet again. They, like you, also have some statistics to defend their stance. These people can not fathom that any LSU fan could have watched that offense this year and thought that it was a “good offense”.
Anyway. This is just my own observation. Here’s to hopefully winning a champion of some kind next year.

Yes. IMO it was when you combine the 2-2 start of the 2016 season. I guess thats what the hang up is here.
2014 Miles won a lot of his games early in the season. He lost 3 towards the tail end which probably put a bad taste in a lot of decision makers mouths. Same for 2015. So following 3 SEC losses to end the 2015 season, the 2016 started with a 2-2 start and thats knowing that Miles had been pretty good about starting a season off pretty well.
One could justify arguing that LSU could have ended the 2016 season with 5 losses. Agree or disagree?

I may have accidentally looked at the wrong year. If so my fault. Let me see if I can find it.
EDIT: I did. I typed in 2015 rushing stats (ncaa website) but it snuck the 2018 stats in. Entirely my fault. My apologies.

Just who do you think he would of lost to? Aggie?
Posted on 1/10/19 at 3:04 pm to Greace
Didnt he lose to Arkansas 2014 and 2015?
Posted on 1/10/19 at 3:04 pm to Greace
So he went 10-3 10-3 8-5 10-3 and was treading down?
Final AP ranking those years is trending down:
2012 13
2013 14
2014 unranked
2015 17
2016 fired at 2-2
You can also factor in that they were 2-2 in bowls during that span (2-3 in last 5) which is a sharp decline from earlier in his tenure.

We've already established that the defense from the 2016 wasn't stopping our rushing attack

I guess it's not a surprise that the word frick offends you.
And I told you to stop posting that number because it gives a false sense that the redzone offense wasn't that bad, when in fact it was. The ability to kick short field goals has nothing to do with the offense's inability to score touchdowns once they get into the redzone.

The 2015 ranking is hurt by the fact that we didn't get to play our first game of the season which would of been 10 wins and we were also ranked 16th not 17th
Posted on 1/10/19 at 3:10 pm to Greace
Possibly. Im not saying we couldnt have won, Im just saying its not an automatic, especially since LSU lost to Arkansas the previous 2 years. Arkansas always puts up a fight against LSU

Nah, it's hurt by the month of November. Guess where we were ranked in October?

Different Arkansas team. 2016 was a year with some extreme bad sec defenses. How many games did les lose with 200 yards rushing?
Posted on 1/10/19 at 3:14 pm to Greace
We sure are giving Les a terribly low bar for our beat downs in 2015.

The prestige of the bowl games LSU was invited to way steadily declining in that period too. We were getting lower tier bowls - and losing in them.
Posted on 1/10/19 at 3:17 pm to RogerTheShrubber
We lost to an ole miss team that ended up winning the sugar bowl
Posted on 1/10/19 at 3:18 pm to The First Cut
We got invited to a lesser tier bowl because we had a game less than everybody else. We ended up getting the short stick on canceling that game.

Check my post history. I was calling the offensive line out early in the season. I've stated what I thought needed to happen for it to improve.
For that I've been called a player basher which is untrue.
I'm not saying that the offense is good. I'm saying that it wasn't as bad as some say and due to personnel issues it struggled.
