He didn’t throw a TD pass in October.
He is what he is in this offense.

No. He needs better O line play and play calling. Last two game have been against two of the toughest defenses out there. As long as the team didn't $h!t the bed like our fans did after Bama they will destroy Arkansas.

6 TDs thrown. SIX. Army QB has more

Burrow only has one game where he threw for more than 50% completions and 200+ yards -- 'Ole Miss. 18/25 for 292 and 3 TD. Damned strong effort.

Other than that, he was over 200 against Auburn and Georgia. He was over 50% against La Tech, Florida, Moo State, 'Bama and at 50% against Georgia.

The passing game stinks on ice, again, and it's holding the whole team back, again.

*ETA -- I don't blame Burrow. The OL isn't very good and the offensive scheme is horrible. LSU needs a new passing system.

Detillier said that Sean Salsbury will be the qb coach next year.

Some of our fanbase are either in middle school or live in a fantasy world. Yes, he has peaked. He's been here less than half a year and will get no better over the next year...

or we’ve seen this movie too many times already.

other than Mett, name one QB since 2008 to NOT peak in like game 3 of their career here.

it’s happened so many times now that the moment a guy seems to plateau, we automatically assume the worst.

Burrow will be fine. Nobody looks great vs bama.

Deshawn Watson looked pretty good.

Guys, learn to have reasonable expectations. IF BURROW WAS AARON RODGERS WE WOULD NEVER HAVE MET HIM.

I totally agree with you but when I reputed the people who said he was going to win the Heisman and be #1 overall, I was blasted. Maybe some of these people need to stop with the -eaux silliness and unrealistic expectations and then these kids could develop.

I think you've peaked as a poster. Time to hang up the keyboard.

6 touchdowns in 9 games, I would say we have seen the best of Burrow.

6 TD passes all year man. I don’t blame all this on Burriw either, he’s in a shitty system.

It took OSU 3 years to coach him up, and 3 months for LSU to turn him into the next bum in a long line of bums.

That's only 6 over almost 9 seasons. That would be over a 100 games and about 15 different teams. Just 6? It takes the skill set of those guys you mention to have a chance to beat the most talented team in the country. These type guys do not come around that often.

I like Burrow a lot, and like him for next year, but to answer your question honestly, I think he has peaked. He will definitely play better with a halfway decent O-line, but he isn't Tua. He will never be Tua. I am sure he is just as good if not better than Tua when it comes to football IQ and the X's and O's of the game, but he will never be the gifted passer Tua is. I think we are good with Burrow because he is an above average QB, and Tua's are not falling into anyone's lap every year. I don't think there has been as gifted a college passer since Peyton Manning, or maybe Jim McMahon. If anyone thinks we should move on from Burrow because we need to find someone that can compete with Tua, you are in for a huge let down. Burrow is good, not elite, but good as we will get in the next several years, and he will be much improved with some decent line play. His stats were trending up, until we ran into the Bama buzzsaw.
Just my two cents.
