Has anyone tailgated at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium ?

Cops and tow trucks try to make tailgating miserable over there. Have fun anyway though.

From what I've read on here, it's the worst place to tailgate ever. And I know everyone on TD says everything sucks, but it's basically unanimous that Florida is the worst road trip.

My most vivid memory about tailgating at BHG, is there are bars right across the street from the stadium. The Purple Porpoise was 150 feet from the gate. Check into that. Thank me later.

Been to every SEC stadium to watch the Tigers play except Vandy. Gainesville is worst tailgating/game experience in the SEC. I’ve been twice (tried to give it a second chance) but never again.
Like others said, get a cup but the cops will pretty much harass your tailgate constantly regardless.

It is illegal to walk around with a drink, don’t do it.
The fans are rude at best and physically combative at worst. In and out of the stadium.
I would not go back to Gainesville.

It sucks. Like others say, constantly harrassed. Not sure if it's because we are LSU fans, but I would never go back.

Do not walk away from a designated tailgate area with a beer in your hand. They will stop you and give you a ticket.

Not special at all. The bars on the main drag aren't bad to hang at, but it's a stretch otherwise

No but a guy got out of his car while stuck in traffic and tried to fight me, my brother, and my friend for simply wearing LSU clothes. I’m not kidding. Like a fatass got out of his car, started yelling at us, and took a swing at me. He missed and got thrown against his car by my brother. We even had another one of my friends who is a Florida fan with us.

This will be my first LSU road game. I was advised by my co-worker who’s a gator alum to not even bring alcohol to campus. He kept reiterating to me that the police is crooked there and will harass you big time, which explains why he never went back since graduation.
Each fan base has their rude, obnoxious fans but from judging based what I read on TD. These fans are as bad as Notre Dame fans.

The tailgates all seemed to be very spread out, and there’s not really a big area with a bunch in the same place.
