another thing I don't get is this. why do people (not you, i'm saying in general) bring up the 90's when people start criticizing Miles.

I just don't get it, this program is so far removed from the days of Hallman, Dinardo, etc. We are that much better now than then.

Expectations rise with every win, and that's what's happened here. Just settling for a "don't forget the 90's" is so backwards thinking that I think some people would be happy to be back in those days.

How Noble. As has already been pointed out, it's a frickin anonymous message board. You're vesting way too much authority in this. It's probably not good for your blood pressure.

because our fanbase is spoiled. sometimes you have to look back and remember the past to gain some perspective. LSU plays in the toughest division in the toughest conference in football...yet people literally freak the frick out when have some bad times.

its a game...dont be so emotionally invested.

nah...im good. i would be more worried about those that are screaming and yelling and wanting everyone fired. they're the ones that seem to be investing too much. but your concern in my well being is much appreciated

in the immortal words of the great poet Aaron Rodgers...

of course we're spoiled, success spoils everyone. expectations rise because of success. if you don't have a spoiled fanbase, then you're freaking ULL or Tulane.

true. but in the 90's we basically were ULL and Tulane. i remember being so excited that we got that 6th or 7th win cuz it meant we were going bowling in Shreveport.

that was fun wasn't it? exciting? I mean, shite they lost, but wtf right.....it was at least fun to watch. I'm sure you don't mind losing as long as we x-box the offense right?

Wait, wut?

You do know LSU lost, too. Amirite? And in a far less entertaining way. In fact it was embarassing. Very embarassing.

Miles pumpers are just really, really dense it appears

McCarron accusing Saban of handcuffing Alabama OCs

McCarron's a mouthy delusional douchebag who honestly thinks Saban is the reason he's not Andrew Luck right now.

Hey AJ, you're a 5th round pick with 2x NCs as a starter. Those rings weren't won on your 5th round talent. Thank your coaches.

so the miles apologist crowd isnt being 'emotionally invested' when they react with vitriol to any and every slight criticism of the coaching staff?

I'm sure you don't. You just walk from your front porch across the street to the airport and boo bad landings.

if its legit i probably won't even respond. i only respond to the idiotic posts by people that are clearly bashing Miles just to do it....with no clear, thought out complaint.

for example....before the Auburn game myself along with everyone else on this board was saying that it was clear that Harris should start. then someone started a thread asking who will start against Auburn....i said i think Miles will start Harris. i then get blasted by idiots saying "NO HE WON'T BECAUSE HE'S STUPID AND STUBBORN RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!"

Miles then announces Harris as the starter.

i then get blasted by idiots saying how upset i must be because Miles realized that the Rant was right and started Harris over Jennings.....even after i said Miles should start Harris.

those people deserve all the shite they get because they're ignorant and clearly have an agenda.

It is the coaches job to see that his employees are running things as he would have them be run. He is not going to hire people then sit back and have no part in what they decide. This whole premise is ridiculous. If the OCs don't like it they should quit. If the head coach's bosses don't like it they should fire him and hire the OC as HC. When the players become coaches they can do it their way, which apparently would be to let their employees do it their own way.

should probably just ignore that shite too. responding to it will only feed the 'troll'

people like this beefense tard implying that fans like me WANT lsu to lose is fricking sickening. they actually think they are 'true' fans. hell, even maximus would take les for 20more years if it meant lsu could play to their potential, overcome the things that have held us back in recent times and win games by leaving everything on the field. that's all we want to see. not be here sunday morning trying to figure out why the hell we pissed away a scoring opportunity because a timeout wasn't taken.

man how many times under Saban did LSU start whipping some arse, get a 14-21pt lead, freeze the offense, let the opponent hang around and either white knuckle the ending or outright lose?

McCarron is saying things we have known for a LONG time

as far as criticism of the program, I am middle of the road. i dont love miles, i dont hate miles, I have concerns and serious questions, but I am also realistic enough to know that:

1) what goes up, must come down, especially CFB teams where you develop talent and they constantly leave

2) the easiest recruiting is always the hot young coach with a program on the rise and lots of playing time available

3) changing the scheme, personnel, philosophy of a program at a school like LSU is a lot like turning an aircraft carrier. It has to be a well thought out and detailed process that takes some time and patience.

4) Unfortunately we have a bunch of reactionary types that think drastic changes (personnel, scheme, staff, etc) are easy and should be done on the fly

AH HA.

I just figured Choctaw out. I now completely understand why he is the way he is.
