I hate to be the realist here but "avoid injuries to key players" goes in the mix.

Are you under the impression that our offense was worse than our defense last year?

Typically, sure.
Coaches also typically have a team prepared for an alternative route when the plays aren't working.. but Miles gets stubborn and just wants to continue trying to execute what he knows best..
We have to get better overall as a team, not just executing a certain number of plays. We have to have creativity or alternative options.

This is hard to judge.. We whipped up on inferior teams and often up big and played laid back defense.. Also played some young guys late in a game or two resulting in meaningless TDs late.. The defense typically kept the games close in the first half last season while our offense mounted a lead.. however the offense sometimes would stall in the 3rd quarter and put more pressure on our team to close out.
In the games that mattered most both offense and defense played poorly. Not so easy to say which was worse then.
Take the Alabama game for instance.. The Defense only gave up 13 points (and 3 were from a ridiculous FG they made)
We very well could have been tied 10-10 heading into the half because of the defense keeping us in it.. but even at worst they only gave up 13 points..
In the 3rd quarter the offense did nothing.. and in the 4th we only got 6 points.. so in the 2nd half we scored a whopping 6 points.. after the defense did keep us in that game. Couldn't even score a dang TD.
I say when it came to November games that mattered most, the offense stalled and hurt us more.. eventually the defense did wear out.. especially a defense lacking depth at the time. but I don't fault them when the offense continues to do nothing.

Les Miles still runs the offense. All other teams knows our playbook.Nothing has changed.

If Harris plays well and special teams and defense improve we have a shot at the playoffs. From there whoever is playing best wins. The sec west is still tough and there are teams we don't match up well with. Will need a few breaks and some young guys stepping up to win it all

And that's exactly the problem, ar-tard.

Ohio State returned basically everybody from their championship team. They didn't repeat. Urban sucks.

No it's not. Our defense gave up 20 points to every opponent except 2 and one of those we gave 19 points to.
our offense was 11th in the country in offensive yards per play
While
our defense was 30th in opponents yards per play

LSU was 4th in the country in offensive points in the 3rd quarter
You do realize you can look this shite up right?

We finished 4th in the sec in offensive yards per game and 3rd in the sec in offensive points per game.
If our playcalling is so suspect how did our offense achieve those rankings?
The inexperience of a qb severly cuts down on the ability to use the entire playbook.

The offense stalled in 2 games. We had 508 yards of offense against ole miss.
We gained the 2nd most yards ,all season, against the #7 defense in cfb(uf).

Yeah he has only coached 4 of the best offenses( yards per game wise) in lsu history.
But hey dont let facts get in the way of you shitting on the lsu coach.

Our playcalling is what needs to improve. this right here. time for the million dollar coaches to earn it.
play calling was not our problem. I don't give a shite what play is called as long as it works.
our plays that didn't work was not due to the play that was called. it was because blocks were missed, passes were not accurate, penalties were called and other errors of execution.
it seems that all of you xbox players think play calling is everything. well, people that have actually played the game know different.
our LOS got blown up a lot last year. mano a mano, we got our arse handed to us in the bama and the arky game.

This. Cfb is about execution. Oregon has one of the best offenses every year and they run the same play 50% of the time. Cfb coaches dont have the on field practice time to implement new plays every week. Thats why experience for a qb in cfb is paramount. Each year the coach can add to the playbook.

Harris plays well we win the national championship, right? by Rex
Our coaches need to put Harris in a position to play well, spread the offense a little and become less predictable.
3 WR set and the occasional 4 WR set to mix thing up and throw the ball 40% of the time.
Line play
Defense
Special teams need to improve with your statement
