Harris is just one component, although NFL GMs will tell you QB is the most important, you can't do without any of the other elements of the team.

D-line is the area which needs the next most improvement.

Slot receiver must be A grade to beat Bama.

You get those three and everything else is about where it was, and you can see beating Bama, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

You don't have the DT play, you can lose all three of those and Wisconsin.

You're trying to give the impression that we out gained those teams while they had those star players and that's completely false. Last year we finished behind teams like arky miss st Appalachian state middle tenn and Toledo. We feasted on bad teams early then were shut down by alabama and arky we put up some yardage vs ole miss but that was garbage time yards as that game was over at halftime.

It's not just Harris I expect to play better.

I believe this entire team can step their game up this season. The line and receivers will open up and make plays for the team. The defense as well.

Better play all around will help everyone.

I do want to believe Harris will improve. It's a natural progression.

I didn't gather that and took it as retort to altiger's supposed "superior offensive systems" failing to trump LSU's last year.
And as posted earlier, I would actually like to see some simpler passing concepts with all the seasons QB position has held LSU back.

Fsu had an injured qb Aurburn didn't have a qb. both coaches historically have much better offenses than us. In my opinion the biggest problem is that we don't use the qbs best friend, the tight end. We run too many 2 and 3 man passing routes when the opponent stacks the box they still have enough ppl in coverage to cover routes like this.

Are you fricking kidding me? Do you give Miles a pass when he has start young and inexperienced qbs?

So just like 99% of all cfb?
just like Texas tech had their 2nd lowest offensive totals against us. we were one of the better defenses they faced and their production showed that.

then were shut down by alabama and arky w

Oh so when we started to play better run defenses our offensive production went down? That's generally what happens when you play team that are good against your strength.

Again, total offense is shite way to gauge an offense's success.
For example- in 2013 lsu was 12th in the country in offensive yards per play. but
because we dont run a hunh we were 105th in plays ran, our totals we skewed

Its common knowledge that ypc is a far better measure of a team's success because it isnt skewed by the amount of plays ran.
