Really thought he would be involved more. He was getting good fallcamp reviews it seems from the scrimmages.
Anyone think he’s in the doghouse, overrated, or LK id 3d Chess scheming him come this weekend? I think he could be great in some stretch runs running behind Green & Seaton

Can't block and goes down at first contact!! Pretty simple

For him to not be in the top two rotation is concerning for sure

blocking and ball security are bigger needs than just pure speed.

He’ll be the kewan replacement at ole Miss

He’s 3rd string for a reason. I trust Lane and Charlie and not a bunch of homers.

Peetz running Counter plays with TDP against Florida 2021 comes to mind lol

Needs to put on weight and be better in pass protection. Being able to break tackles is a big component for LK and his offenses.

I expect him to get more balls thrown to him this week.

No
If it ever has it’s certainly not at the clip some people believe coaches do this.

He’s a little guy that put up crazy numbers at a small private high school.
He needs size and better blocking.
He’s 3rd string right now because two guys are better than him,

Moscona gave a pretty logical explanation on locked on. It’s basically blocking related in his opinion.

I still think he can emerge as RB2
We’ll see

He’s not playing for the same reasons practically that Durham isn’t playing. Can’t pass block to save his life and goes down if someone breathes on him. I will say that Berry can actually find the open hole and hit it more often than not instead of there being a hole the size of two Mack trucks side by side but chooses to run into the guards arse instead and goes down at the line of scrimmage like Durham does.

I’ll probably get downvoted, but I don’t see him ever being more than a situational player at RB. He’s not built like an SEC running back. Compare his legs to the 2 guys ahead of him if you’re watching them stand together as a group.
I actually would like to see him lose the weight he put on in the offseason and convert to a slot receiver. Could be a YAC specialist and I think he’s athletic and fast enough that he could become a legit route runner and have adequate hands for it.

I’ve been wondering if Durham and Berry weren’t served well by the previous coaching staff.

Maybe create some plays where he’s in the slot or something.
I’m honestly surprised Lane didn’t see Berry and think of multiple ways he could use him.
