I absolutely cannot stand when you hear "so and so isn't playing because he's still learning pass protection." Cool, don't ask him to pass protect. There's three things a RB can do in this offense. He can carry the football, he can go out on a route, or he can pass block. If you aren't ready for him to pass block, don't ask him to. Let him get a few carries. Let him go out on a pass route. But to take him off the field for that is just poor coaching.

Pretty soon, if you do that, teams will learn your tendencies based on your personnel.

Harlem Berry in the game? It probably isn't a pass.

Harlem Berry is in the game? Probably not a long developing pass play.

That cut by 22 on 2 is dirty.

I disagree, there are ways around it and there's a variety of different things you can do with Berry. You're only predictable if you allow yourself to be predictable.. If you send him out there's ways to get an extra blocker into the play, regardless if it's a quick developing play or a five or seven step drop, etc. Good coordinators can scheme around it.

That should not be a tendency for Berry. He was a good pass catcher out of high school and that should not have changed in college. The only reason that they might not be throwing to him right now is the lack of work with the ones in practice. Heck, Berry is talented enough to line up in the slot if needed.

He had some nice runs - the fumble must have caused the average to really dip as we lost a lot of yards

The fumble resulted in a loss for 17 I believe meaning his other 3 carries went for 17 yards and when he fumbled he had gained 5/6 yards.

Minus the fumble, he looks like our most productive runner

Do we have any word on Kaleb Jackson? Is he just in the dog house for good now or what?

he problem is he’s not good in pass protection yet so when he comes in you basically know it’s a run and he’s getting the ball

There is a trust issue as well, fumbled a couple times in practice.

But, he has it. You can see it.

Harlem isn't a good pass blocker. He wiffed big time on the throw to Brown in the 1st quarter.

That doesn't mean anything when it comes to certified track speed. He has track speed and it's verified all through HS. He's a 4.3 - 4.4 guy that does not look close to that in pads. For whatever reason, it hasn't translated.

He is basically useless on a team without an OL running out of shotgun/pistol exclusively

He missed pretty bad on pass protection my guy. He defininetely needs to get in the game more early on but missing on pass protection is killer. Ju'Juan Johnson doesn't need to be the RB2. I want to see Kaleb Jackson used more in certain situations as well.

Berry needs tosses and quick passes - he shines there.

Tend to agree with today world of NIL and transfer portal. Only reason to RS any longer is for injury. Smoke em if you got em.

I'd like to see him get at least 8-10 touches against Southeastern.

The NCAA should just give everyone 5 years of eligibility because that’s the average years to graduate anyway. Play who is ready, but no need to stash kids.

TJ Finley would be able to play until he is 30
