Hanny just said LSU may run blitz more, maybe with Perkins, won’t let OM just run it

Just spoke to Hanny and asked if LSU may run blitz more, to not let Ole Miss just run it down the field. He said “Oh yes” implied LSU defense is prepared for Ole Miss’ running game.

If you run blitz, you better be right. And you better take the right angle and not miss on which way the play is going. High risk, high reward.

Yep, room blitz can be feast or famine.
If executed successfully, it can be very effective at shutting down the run.

I found the presser yesterday revealing. Kelly said that Perkins can’t handle the reads playing Sam at the moment,and you can’t really take out ojulari. He said they may run without a nickel some and use perk that way, not as a nickel but just somewhere with the open spot in the defense.
He said he’s got to be on the field a lot though
