I think you’re right I’m just the type of person who gets nervous before any game. I know it sounds cheesy but I respect even the weakest opponent and I’m always watchful for things they can use to hurt us. I grew up in a sports family, my dad was a coach for years so that kindve thinking has been seared into my mind lol.

Yea I hear you but I’m not playing against Texas ya know? It’s closer to watching your kids team than actually being involved yourself. But you know what I mean, I’m not looking past anyone.

Either am I.... I have been following sports for over 50 years... I realize that its just a game,, I do my best not to get too wrapped up in ANY result... Even 1-9-12... I was more disappointed that LSU didn't even show up compared to the result.....

10-3 used to be frowned upon. 5-3 was laughed at, but I guess 9-4 with a couple very embarrassing losses makes 10-3 look a whole hell of a lot better than it did.

When was it “frowned upon”? In the past 11 seasons we exceeded 10 wins twice.

I hate to admit I knew it was coming. All my friends and family were telling me it would be a 10 to 13 point LSU win and when I’d ask them how are we gonna score with JJ at QB and Saban having a month to prepare for him they kept saying things like the defense will score or we’d return a kick. I kept telling them that those kinds of scores are lagniappe and can’t be relied on or predicted. By mid 3rd quarter I had fallen asleep dead sober in my brother in laws recliner lol.

Well 1st of all its hard to beat Saban twice in one season... He knew he screwed up the 1st game and made proper adjustments.. BUT I saw everything I needed to see from the offense in the 1st half of the SEC Title game aginst UGA.... WE SUCKED.. I knew then that Saban was gonna tear us a new one...……….

Yea we got lucky the first game, Saban made some poor decisions and we had some breaks go our way too.

If you really look at that game.. Our PUNTER won that game for us by putting Bama in horrible field position all night...……. Think about it...…….

Yep, everybody remembers the touchdown and the celebration penalty but that was the game when Brag Wing proved what kindve asset he was.

I have Yet to see someone slowly evolves their offense from a. Prostyle to a spread by gradually creeping that way adding an assistant here or there. Since maybe someone developed the spread.

If you can point out a recent example let me know.

But you still won’t admit we’re basically on our 3rd different offense

Orgeron definitely did it cuz our OL was terrible but you would think that a coach at the D1 level could find creative ways to pass protect but nah O handcuffed Canada all season long.

How does one understand a problem and then immediately go to into blame mode?

Just because you think there’s a simple solution doesn’t make it true. The OL was awful. AWFUL. Regardless of how they tried to repair it.

7. It’s well documented that Orgeron prefers the USC offense that won two NCs while he was assistant HC. After he was hired in November of 2016, he waited for Kiffin (certainly not a run-first OC) to complete his HC interviews

2018 = 91st in pass play %
2017 = 109th in pass play %

2006 ole miss = 95th in pass play %

only twice has O ever had pass play % above 91st in cfb.

Interim Tenures

2013 USC =85th in pass play %
2016 lsu = 100th in pass play %

quick question.....
do you have any stances that are backed up by facts and statistics?

was by fewer than 3 plays per game, fewer than a play the second time. Every other season he’s been heavy run and last season compared to Canada’s offense the rushing attempts were damn near identical: 2017- 43.3 rushes per game, 2018- 43.0 rushes per game. For his entire career his run pass ratio is 25.9 passes to 34.5 rushes per game, that’s 42.9% to 57.1% (Miles 39.1%/ 60.9%) so I don’t know where you’re getting this “Orgeron wants the throw the ball more”. Theory from. Not trying to insult you man but what you’re saying just doesn’t add up factually.

just stop...
you're making the mistake of thinking facts matter when discussing football with a cultist.

yards gained isnt a good way to judge passing plays called.

passing play called %

Lmao his response to the facts that crushed his ignorant bullshite was to post the passing yards and rushing yards from a few of Ed Orgerons teams. He said because they averaged more passing yards most of the time that it mean he was a pass heavy coach lmfao. Now either he’s full of shite or he’s the biggest moron to call themselves a sports fan. And we know it can’t be the latter because Buckeye has that one covered.

Lmfao yes that was his rebuttal. Then he posted laughing emojis in a pompous gesture acting like what he did proved him right. The guy is an absolute joke in every way.
