Les Miles 'resigns'. Eagles finish sub .500. Chip Kelly returns to college...at LSU. A guy can dream right?

think LSU will lose to Ole Miss and will beat TAMU. That will satisfy the right people enough to keep Miles out of the red.

I think this is the crucial week. If you feel its time to move on beating A&M shouldn't change that.

I figured next year would be Tigers best shot and Miles for another NC title..

The big issue for 2016 is that potential humongous hole on Defense between the front 4 and the secondary.

Miles will only be in trouble if he totally loses this team (mental and physical preparation) and we lose the next two games

Hanagriff is way too much of a homer for me to take him seriously about this kinda stuff

I could see Alleva and a few Miles supports trying to spin the situation. Easily if LSU wins in the post season. By no means do i think a 1-3 November record is something to be proud of.

As far as next year goes. I could see them shaking up the staff and moving on Cam Cameron.

The money is there and the buyout is not as big as some think.

$12M is no big deal? Seems like a lot unless Les would be willing to negotiate it for some reason, which he'd only do if he were tired of the job himself. Alleva has no balls and would probably at least want to wait another year to give Les another shot and to save $3M on the buyout.

For the first time, I really don't care either way. Miles brought this on himself. He held us fricking hostage using Arkansas (ironic) for a pay raise. He snubbed his nose at the fans when anyone dared ask him etc was going on. He rurefuses to change wwhen their are coaching disasters until the damage is done.
He's a good man, but there's not that much room for that in business...and this is BIG business with millions of paying customers.
Here is the problem going forward. Even if he cleans house, no OC or DC will want to come work for Miles. He's old and has a foot out the door.

His style is dead, for better or worse, the game is moving to fast.

When you get to the point where the special teams are the worst in the country, with the talent here, it's not hard to see he has completely lost control of his team.
You take Mett, and the complete miracle that a seasoned qb fell into our laps, out of this picture and this university is the laughing stock of qb development.

I hate change and I hate to lose a high character guy, but yes the one that paved this road, not us.

If we can do this and keep our recruiting base, we'll be just fine

To be fair, LSU does have a lot of balls. They're just dropped, turned over, or over thrown usually.

Hanagriff said Cam's contract wasn't renewed last week. Maybe that's why we are seeing the subdued Les. Either that or he's pissed.

We're losing all of our starting linebackers, our best corner, a starting safety, and three offensive linemen.

This was supposed to be our year.

I don't think this buys Les time anymore, he's been to that well one too many times.

I honestly believe timing is everything and I really think that with his son graduating after next season and with Moses coming in Miles gets one more year. Or, worst case, Miles steps down "mutually", hangs around BR for a year to have his youngest graduate, and then he moves on to something new. I personally wish they give him some sort of administrative position as he's a great ambassador for the university and hire an younger guy to infuse some new life into the program.

All those Nfl players and businessman have that buyout money.

Its really about losing recruits and souring them on Lsu if the bad coaching continues.

If LSU loses to Ole Miss...look for Arkansas to be the last game he coaches for LSU. He'll resign and be paid a portion of what he is owed.

completely false. but my biggest fear is that our roster is well-positioned to succeed next year but the coaching staff is not.

I think it has more to do with the team not improving over the course of the season. Which is pretty much the norm for a Miles coached team.

The last team I can think of that got significantly better as the season progressed was the year we beat ND in the sugar bowl. But hell we were only a 1 loss team. A bunch of baaaad mofo's on that team.

It's the only card he has left to play. Let Cameron & Peveto move along.
