I’m still in shock that Lane didn’t go for that 4th &1 to end it. Looking at the spot it actually looked closer to 4th & inches. You couldn’t have convinced Lane not to go for that no matter how hard you tried when he was at Ole Miss and before.

What is it about LSU that makes coaches want to be conservative? Lane Kiffin was the least conservative football coach on this freaking planet beforehand and he gets here and he’s punting on 4th & 1/2 yard at midfield.
Kiffin literally beat us just last year by going for it on 4th & 3 with 1:50 to go in the game to seal it and beat us with the pass to Wright. Where was that Kiffin last night?

Listened to the show opening today…he admitted he was emotional about it and that people pointed out since then that Baker has certainly had worse games. Today mostly lamented the soft D at the end, the individual breakdowns and allowing 3rd down conversions against a team that was so bad at it. They were only 5-14 but that’s still better than they were averaging.

This was a concerning point that I noticed that I don’t think a lot of fans on here realized. Yea we scored but 2 of the 3 TDs in regulation had to come from gimmick trick plays. It’s like Lane and Weiss had to get desperate in order for LSU to be able to score on an average at best Kentucky defense. That’s what had me concerned even though we scored. LSU shouldn’t have to use gimmicky trick plays to score on a defense like Kentuckys.

You have to get creative when your oline sucks. They dialed shite up and scored both times.
Feels good to finally have some creative offensive coaches now at least.
