If Hal is going to struggle on defense, does his batting performance keep him in the lineup?

At what point do you cut bait ?

Well first you don’t make any broad conclusions after the first weekend but he can’t afford to make those kinds of errors if he is going to bat around the Mendoza line.

It’s time to cut now. He would not be a starter on any other SEC team.

At what point do you stop creating a new thread for every thought that pops into your head?

We need someone who can wash clothes since he had to fire the guy who put the cardboard box in the dryer. Maybe Hughes can be reassigned to that.

you’re acting like there isn’t 2 years of evidence of his limitations. He is what he is at this point.

People have been popping off new threads to defend him, it’s fair enough to start a new one. He just cost LSU a run.

Hal Hughes is responsible for more runs this series than just about everybody else on the Tiger roster.

He plays with no energy, no passion - it’s almost like his parents forced him to play since he was a kid. Doing what mommy told him. He acts like he doesn’t want to be out there.

Yep. If Hal isn’t absolutely elite on defense, there’s no reason to keep him in the lineup.

I he'd somebody argue with me at work that he was a college version of Ozzie Smith. Not a great hitter but the best in the field. Can't wait to see what he says on Monday
