I'll admit, I suffer with this mentality with a lot of LSU fans - having grown up in Tiger Stadium and gone to games longer than a lot of posters here have been living. Of course, there are some posters that could say the same about them and me.

Why go all out with the clothes and the stickers and not know SOMETHING about football? I give him props for at least knowing who Cecil Collins is, but still.

He started watching and buying up the gear right before the 07 title game. It was the cool thing to do I guess but he didn't want someone to call him a band wagoner. So he has kept it up so that next big season nobody would question his fanhood. It's pathetic. I blast his arse with LSU trivia anytime he is around us watching football.

while we are indeed purple and gold, our uni's are yellow. it probably stems from the old days when gold really was a difficult color to produce and the yellow looked better with the purple. it is now tradition and i don't care what non lsu people see, i see purple and GOLD.
