Had a buddy ask me this today and thought it was a good coach question

Which of these coaches in the given time frame would be most likely to win a National Championship at LSU following this year with current players and access to 1 portal class each year? Who would you lay your money on to get it done?
Saban in 1 year
Kirby 2 years
Lanning 3 years
Kiffin 3 years
Freeman 4 years
James Franklin 10 years

Yeah I leaned towards kiffin or lanning for 3 years. Portal wouldn't catch you up to the Bama or Georgia of the world with 1 or 2 years even with Kirby or Saban as coach. 10 years is a long time and Franklin is not terrible but unsure if he could get it done even with that much time. Freeman at 4 is interesting also but he doesnt know SEC like lanning or Kiffin.

Saban in 1 year -- Super longshot. Saban was good because he built up a culture, you don't do that in 1 year.
Kirby 2 years -- similar to above, not sure I see that shift so quickly. Maybe make playoffs, but expect to win is tough.
Lanning 3 years -- Probably expect to make playoffs twice and who knows what could happen once you get there
Kiffin 3 years -- same as above
Freeman 4 years -- sorry, I'm not a believer. I think lower than Lanning and Kiffin in 3 years
James Franklin 10 years -- This is a tough one, and in 10 years I could see it happening. Could have just been a lot of bad luck at PSU. I think he is a good coach.

Saban always has a mediocre first year with a loss to a much lesser opponent.
