Let's all watch Ohashi score a 9.975 while only having to land one pass to her feet.

Yep. The other girl only had 1 also.
However, we could do the same thing so I would ask “why don’t we stretch the rules like they do?

Seems to me they’re not required to stick landings on those ending hops, yet still get equally high scores.

From context it seems they bounce up in the air and do something else instead of sticking the landing, but they get away with it.

Might be my homerism but IMO we won today. Beam scores were tight for us and became loose for UCLA. Had we been scored more in line on beam with the other teams then we win. I am stoked for tomorrow. These girls are hungry and I think they have a great rotation order. Sticking bar dismounts will be key and will tell the tale.

Judges seem to love UCLA and OU routines. We can’t give away any deductions at all and really need those 2 teams to bobble.

Most do a split jump out of it but they don't even hit the split, that itself should incur a deduction. To top it off, most of the time its not even controlled. half the passes where they bounce out the pass are traveling 4 feet forward or backwards. That shows no control, which should be another deduction But whatever it is they don't deduct it.

What bothers me most about the leaps out of passes isn't that they are finding ways around the code but that AFTER the leap they sometimes have a giant hop forward. Hano must have bounded 3 feet forward after her 2nd pass. Ohashi flew 3 feet forward after her front tuck at Regionals or some other recent meet and got a 10. That should have to be controlled like any other landing. Why can the judges ignore that?

So, what is our rotation tomorrow?

And assuming OU finishes first, what will theirs be?

Ohashi gets points just for her music selection. Bart & Kathy were going on and on about her Michael Jackson jam.

We need OU to bobble a bit, I think. However, we can beat UCLA on our own. Within 1 tenth of them today with tight scoring for us on beam.

UCLA has a good thing going for them with their start order, they end on beam. If they don't have nerve issues and scores go crazy we could easily see them score a 49.6+ or even 49.7 like LSU did last year. They have the reputation and we know how those judges do in the 6th rotation. Hopefully LSU has put it out of their reach by then,

Too bad we won't have any individual national championships this year.

I think they start on a Bye before Bars, so ending on Vault.

I believe we go Bye, Bars, Beam, Bye, Floor, Vault

UCLA should be going Bye, Floor, Vault, Bye, Bars, Beam

I am not 100% on that, though.

If OU wins their session then they end on Bars I think because I think I remember that the 2nd place team in that session will end on Floor. Again, could be way off.

Hoping UCLA doesn’t finish on beam. They will all get 10s. Their scores today were so high if it’s the final rotation they will win.

I love the rotation for them, to be honest. Vault is the sketchiest, but as we have seen in the past, stuck landings on Vault in the National Championship will get high scores thrown.
