Hoping UCLA doesn’t finish on beam. They will all get 10s. Their scores today were so high if it’s the final rotation they will win.

That is exactly where they are ending.

I do not like UCLA ending on beam where scores already fly for them. LSU will have to stick every single vault tomorrow. Actually they will have to hit everything flawlessly to have a chance to win it all.

It would be really sad if UCLA can't win it with the talent they have

You have

Kyla Ross- Literally should delieve a 9.9 on each event (former olympian)

Madison Kocian- Should deliver 9.9 on each event (former olmpian)

Peng-Peng Lee- Former national team member and olympian

Katelyn Ohashi- Former national team member and was the best gymnast in the world at one point

+ many other former elites/national team members

If they can't make it happen with this talent then it will never happen again for Val again.

But it seems like Val has mailed it in for a while and is concerned with dance parties, political statements and award shows

Why is everyone so certain that's where UCLA is? Doesn't the other semi dictate the order as well?

She is

No one in the gymnastics world/community likes her. She is shady and just corrupt as a coach.

She would have multiple national titles vacated if the NCAA actually cared about cheaters in this sport.

She has her hands all over the gymnastics program which interfered with Clark as head coach and it did as well with Durante. She was the reason Sami Durante's mom was blindsided and fired at Georgia last year.

Now she is back as a volunteer coach but has her handprints all over every aspect. In terms of practice structures but a lot of stuff on the recruiting trails. She will deny this heavy involvement but its all a lie. I know 2 ladies on that team right now and its crazy behind the scenes, and its very messy

I don’t know if it has been addressed but did Lexi come out ok with stumble? It looked nasty and with her history off injuries?

She's fine, she will obviously have ice on it the rest of the day.

LSU's does benefit with performing earlier with more rest for Super Six tomorrow.

LSU benefits by ending on vault because Priessman can throw her 1.5 if we need it. Nothing to lose at that point as the other events will be completed. If her ankle isn't too sore to practice vault then she should be in the lineup. They should probably take Finnegan out since Cannamela is scoring better. I know that sounds crazy but the AA is done and it doesn't matter if Finnegan only competes 3 events.

UCLA can go 49.7 on beam, as I said earlier. That is true. But hopefully the judges remember to rank these gymnasts. I would love if the judges finally deducted UCLA for their insane rebounds on floor. The code needs to be tweaked for that.

Re: Suzanne. Why do you think she was so behind getting Kupets as Head Coach? Someone who is used to taking orders from her. She hand picked someone who she could play like a fiddle. That being said, they have improved a ton this season. But do you get a ton of credit for being so absolutely awful and somehow making it to Nationals? Durante got the team to Super 6 and still got fired.

It'll be interesting to see this next session and how loose scores are.

This is gymnastics so anything can. A team someone might not expect could have a complete collapse

Bar scores seem loose to open the meet.

Rooting for Kentucky, I like them and their coach

I am surely no expert, but Alex McMurty’s legs were so separated as she was preparing for her dismount. And she got a 9.95. Does leg separation not matter?
