Is this any surprise to anyone on this board? Les was all about "opening up the offense" when he was about to be canned. Now that he survived that, he feels bulletproof and can do/say whatever he wants.

I don't expect much to change on offense. No pun intended, but a tiger doesn't change its stripes

Which is largely irrelevant, when the same personnel, run the same plays, using the same blocking schemes over & over.

You mean like every single program in cfb? Where are all these cfb programs that are running huge variations of personnel in packages? There isnt. This sint the nfl. The gap between 1st and 2nd team players are big. You cant just sub in players to throw off defenses. The coaches have 20 hours all week for om the field practice time. You think they have time to practice with multiple personnel for each package?

Come on bruh. Youre faulting Miles for doing things every single coach in cfb does. At least fault him for something real like his ability to project qb talent at the collegiate level.

Our 2015 offense was 4th in the sec in offensive yards per game and 3rd in the sec in offensive points per game.

Our offense doesnt need to get much better. We are an efficient passing attack away from being an elite offense.

Yes. Their ability to play 2 nts destroyed our line last year.

Let me explain. Presnap was the regular 7 until right before the snap one backside safety would walk down into the box or damn near run down.

Keep believing that. Whenever u see safties filling a hole at the LOS it means they are somewhere close to the box.

I never said they werent playing the run. But more times than not 7 were in the box at the snap of the ball. Of course they were looking run all night. You can be looking run without stacking the box.

For the most part, I agree. At LSU, under Miles, we don't need nor will we ever have a "high-flying" offense. We just need to pick our passing spots more efficiently and we need our QB to execute and perform in those high-profile moments.

The biggest improvement I would like to see this year (from our offense and Harris) is the short to intermediate passing game... We don't have to be 100%, but of we can improve a little there I really think this offense has the potential to be very effective.

I agree but what made it predictable is that we ran "packages"on the field that only ran certain plays and thus made us very predictable

But thats the thing. Every single program does this. If you followed other programs as closely as you followed lsu you would learn their tendancies and package plays as well.

That's stubborn.

I'm with you. I don't want a stubborn coach whatever in the Hell that means.
I want a coach that has no confidence in himself, his staff and his players. I want a coach that panics the first time something bad happens in a game and instead of adhering to a game plan, tries plays that the team hasn't prepared for, goes against his team's strengths, and generally have no realistic chances for success.

Yep no stubborn coaches for me. I want the timid kind.

Yeah the completion % has to get better as does our 3rd dowm conv %. Last year we were 59th in conv % and even worse when just passing conv were counted.

ut you knows Miles is stubborn when post game he says it's all about execution

But cfb is all about executing.
Of course youd like to attack a defense's weakness but when that attack isnt your strong suit you go to your strength.

And again, we tried throwing it against Bama. BH got hurt and he went 6-19.

These stats are for losers. The 3 big games in November are what counts.

LSU lost all three with scores ranging from 35-13 or so on average. Alabama, ole miss, and Arkansas.

How can you have watched these games and say the offense is ok and just needs an efficient passing addition?

The entire scheme is tired and outdated. LSU tries to overpower power teams and gets embarrassed lately more often than not against those three schools.

This is what everyone is pissed about.

Change is needed and time will tell.

If LSU doesn't win this year, it can't be done with miles at the helm

I believe if we cannot beat Bama this year, with this talented team, in Tiger Stadium, we will never beat them again as long as Saban is their coach. It remains to be seen just how much Miles will change. I do believe if this season ends like last, he will be done at LSU.

And will likely do the same in 2016. All plays still go through Miles, he reiterated that at Media Days on Thursday. "If you don't like the plays called be mad at me not Cam Cameron".

Right because they dont match your opinion. If there were stats saying how shitty our offense was all year youd be posting them.

Because anyone with minimal football knowledge can see it.

You have no idea what youre talking about. Please elaborate on how its outdated or stop regurgitating what other football ignorant posters have posted.

Ole miss' scheme has them losing to mid major programs.
Arky's scheme has them losing to toledo.

Please enlighten me on what scheme doesnt suck at times.
Just admit youre parroting what other football ignorant posters have posted
