#2 rob and an additional contract year in the pros is worth more than the risk o a torn ACL by staying in college.

FYI- Barkley and Guice are way different

Barkley looks to juke and use speed. Guice is elusive but craves contact.

Anyone who is watching the OSU game can look at how many negative rushes Barkley has because he dances. He is a phenomenal talent, but he still has lots of training to do because of his system

Youre right its dumb to want to live up to your potential and make your deceased father proud. Andrew Luck is truly one dumb arse MF for playing in the NFL with a college degree.

A running back's shelf life is WAY too brief to risk. You need to strike while the iron is hottest. And just because some one is better is not relevant.

he should come back for the mere fact that we have zero talent coming back at the RB spot for 2018

This would have been more believable post by OP. He doesn't want him to come back because he's #2 RB, he wants him to come back because he wants him to come back. Don't be selfish with these young men who already risked their health in our uniform. I think he's gone and he's earned.

#1 spot is not settled. Barkley has just had more time in the spotlight with Guice sidelined, but Guice is back to take the crown. Barkley didn't even break 50 yards today against better competition. Things will return to normal soon.

1st time watching Barkley today. Guice>Barkley. Not saying Barkley is over rated. Just Guice is better. I didn't see the savage in him. Seems like he did not want to fight for extra yards run out of bounds instead of fighting for yards.

It doesn’t work that way. NFL teams will draft him according to how they evaluate him. And then he’ll get roughly slot money. It makes no difference what another player does, except maybe move him down 4 or 5 slots - and that doesn’t equate to millions. Maybe $20,000.
Here is what I found:

How much does each first round pick make?

Here is a breakdown of what the first-round selections figure to make over the course of a four-year deal:

* — compensatory selection

1. Cleveland Browns: $30.4 million contract with $20.3 million signing bonus
2. San Francisco 49ers: $29.0 million contract with $19.2 million signing bonus
3. Chicago Bears: $28.1 million contract with $18.6 million signing bonus
4. Jacksonville Jaguars: $27.1 million contract with $17.9 million signing bonus
5. Tennessee Titans (from Los Angeles Rams): $25.4 million contract with $16.6 million signing bonus
6. New York Jets: $22.3 million contract with $14.3 million signing bonus
7. Los Angeles Chargers: $19.7 million contract with $12.5 million signing bonus
8. Carolina Panthers: $17.2 million contract with $10.7 million signing bonus
9. Cincinnati Bengals: $17.1 million contract with $10.6 million signing bonus
10. Buffalo Bills: $16.4 million contract with $10.1 million signing bonus
11. New Orleans Saints: $15.4 million contract with $9.3 million signing bonus
12. Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia Eagles): $13.9 million contract with $8.2 million signing bonus
13. Arizona Cardinals: $13.5 million contract with $7.9 million signing bonus
14. Philadelphia Eagles (from Minnesota Vikings): $12.8 million contract with $7.5 million signing bonus
15. Indianapolis Colts: $12.6 million contract with $7.3 million signing bonus
16. Baltimore Ravens: $11.8 million contract with $6.8 million signing bonus
17. Washington Redskins: $11.6 million contract with $6.6 million signing bonus
18. Tennessee Titans: $11.3 million contract with $6.3 million signing bonus
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $11.1 million contract with $6.2 million signing bonus
20. Denver Broncos: $11.0 million contract with $6.2 million signing bonus
21. Detroit Lions: $11.0 million contract with $6.1 million signing bonus
22. Miami Dolphins: $10.8 million contract with $6.0 million signing bonus
23. New York Giants: $10.7 million contract with $5.9 million signing bonus
24. Oakland Raiders: $10.5 million contract with $5.8 million signing bonus
25. Houston Texans: $10.3 million contract with $5.6 million signing bonus
26. Seattle Seahawks: $10.3 million contract with $5.7 million signing bonus
27. Kansas City Chiefs: $10.1 million contract with $5.5 million signing bonus
28. Dallas Cowboys: $10.0 million contract with $5.4 million signing bonus
29. Green Bay Packers: $9.2 million contract with $5.1 million signing bonus
30. Pittsburgh Steelers: $9.3 million contract with $4.9 million signing bonus
31. Atlanta Falcons: $9.0 million contract with $4.7 million signing bonus
32. New Orleans Saints (from New England Patriots): $8.9 million contract with $4.6 million signing bonus

It looks like a $15,000,000 difference between drafted 5th and drafted 10th.

You can always go back to college with all the money you made in the NFL. If a kid wants to stay and risk injury then more power to him but no one should ever question a kid leaving early if he is about to make substantial money.

Saquon Barkley has the #1 RB locked up

Going into this weeks play Guice had more rushing yds than Barkley and more ypc I believe. Barkley is getting the East Coast media backing and getting a lot of credit for all purpose yds. He has already returned two KO's this season.

The Heisman and other big awards are won in Nov. Guice needs to show out big in his last 4 games
