If his opinion is bitching about LSU fans discussing LSU coaches on an LSU board, it's pretty fricking dumb, don't you think?

Are you kidding? If we deleted every dumb thing said on this board and banned the poster that said it, this board would be dead.

I was just pointing out the hypocrisy and wishing that this board could get better.

Not an O pumper? You’re putting words in my mouth. I never said it was a rebuild, but bottom line is coaches need to recruit there own guys you can’t give a guy a hard time for that. Tom Herman should get three years at Texas. If there not there yet, he needs to step it up. I’m talking about Tom Herman, not anything LSU related.

What’s O system that he needs different guys for?

Tom Herman actually got a rebuild.

You’re right that Herman has to rebuild Texas, and that was never the case for LSU. Think of it this way though. Let’s say Texas goes 7-5 this year, and 8-4 next year. You honestley think Texas fans will be happy with that? They’ll be calling for him to be fired. Three years to rebuild Texas is a solid amount. By next year he should have them doing fairly well. It’s freakin UT. I say he’s overrated if he doesn’t have them there in 3 years.

Who's talking about banning or deleting anything?

I suggested the guy go to another board, like the more sports board that has a thread on this topic right now, if LSU fans bringing up Orgeron bothers him.

Quite the logical leap you just made there.

You’re changing the subject.

3 years is fair for a rebuild.

O doesn’t have a rebuild.

He doesn’t have to recruit guys to a new system.

What “guys” does O need?

I’m not changing the subject whatsoever. Bottom line my post was about Tom Herman. I then said Herman is now recruting the guys he wants. This has nothing to do with Orgeron. I was talking about Herman from the start. You agreed with my original post I’m not sure why were arguing.

And I never once said that O had a rebuild, that’s putting words in my mouth.

Jimbo is one of four current coaches to have a national championship so you can't take that away from him. He also won just under 80% of his games at FSU.

With that said, his best years at FSU was when Jameis Winston was QBing. He was one of those players who makes coaches look good.

He was at FSU for 8 years.. And lost to Clemson 4 times, 3 of those losses came the past three years.

The two years when JW was his started, his team went 27-1.

In the six years without JW he averaged 3.5 losses a year.

He needs a Jamarcus Russel, Winston type QB to fit his offense. If he doesn't have that piece to his puzzle, I look for him to be a 3 to 4 losses a year coach at A&M. Maybe a year with 5 losses.. Depending on how long he is there and who he is able to recruit.

Why is Texas a rebuild? It's not like Strong's recruiting classes were dog shite. He actually recruited pretty well. His three classes finished 17, 10 & 7.

As they should. Herman lost 4 games in his final season at Houston. His team was more talented than the 4 that beat him. I'll give a great coach a 1-loss cushion, but 8 & 4 ain't elite (especially that conference he was in). Herman is pretty good, but he ain't great.
Fisher is considered great because he won the national title. He has not proven that he can sustain greatness though. Had he won 2 national titles during his 8 years at Florida State, I'd be higher on him. Had he pulled off more 11 & 1 seasons and done a better job fending off Dabo, I'd put him higher. He's between pretty good and very good, but like others, he can't hold Saban's jock.

Probably could have gotten Fleck for the money we're paying Orgeron. AD was to scarred of the risk. We went the safe route instead of high risk high reward with Fleck.

"I would say Willie Taggart at Florida State. He was only at Oregon for one year, and it's not like he really transformed that program -- and that's a place that's won for a long time. Not that he isn't good -- he's won. But usually when you get a job like Florida State, it's because you've won some championships or done something really amazing."

"[David Shaw] does a great job but, oh my Lord, I mean, it's like God's gift to football. I didn't say he didn't do a good job."
"Willie Taggart because he still has a career losing record."

"When [Franklin] got the Penn State job, I thought, 'Man, he's a good marketer.' He did a nice job with that. It'll be interesting without Saquon [Barkley]. He's underrated. He turns a lot of no[-gain] plays into 60-yard touchdowns."

"I'm probably a little jealous [of Lane Kiffin]. If you're born on third base, that's great, but don't think you hit a triple."
