I would imagine a low attendance. If they were smart they would open a ticket booth on Canal St Friday and sell tickets. They would probably sell a thousand or so to people in town just to have something to do for a few hours sat night.
I ended up at the Miami/florida sugar bowl and Saints/rams playoff game because someone was selling tickets. I was in New Orleans, but had no plans of going to either before the offer was in front of me.

Paid attendance was only 42,000 for the rescheduled South Carolina game in Tiger Stadium a couple years ago.
Different situation. Game was not announced until Thursday for Tiger Stadium IIRC, the game was at noon, and against a terrible USC team. This is the first game of the year and fans have an extra few days notice to make arrangements. The Arizona State game in 2005 is a reasonable comparison. The game was announced it was moving to Tempe on September 5 for a game to be played 5 days later. It was also the first game of the year. The attendance for that game was around 62,000. I don't necessarily think the attendance will be that large, but I do think it will far surpass the attendance for the USC game in 2015

The lack of attendance at the LSU/South Carolina game really shocked me. it was a beautiful early fall day against a SEC opponent.

35-40k even being close to Baton Rouge it would be hard to fill this game on such short notice.

I don't think anybody will be sitting in upper deck, so I guess about 30-40k

A lot depends on how bad Ticketmaster tries to rape us in fees

Without making a guess on attendance, They are going to obliterate us with fees.

Those aren't "LSU football fans". Those are drunkards who use LSU football as an excuse to drink all day.
For me, 12:00, 2:30, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, doesn't matter, I want to see the Tigers play.

I'm guessing around 30k. Hope I'm wrong.
My prediction is 42k

Y'all crazy. Game will sellout...easily.
Will every seat be full on game day? Of course not, but it'll be a pretty full house.
LSU + season opener + Nola + decent opponent ... up to this point in lsu history, that's a once in a lifetime event
This is a much different animal than South Carolina with big time different dynamics, game time and opponent and advance notice being 3 differences

Yeah, you're not a real LSU football fan if a noon kickoff in September bothers you...

The lack of attendance at the LSU/South Carolina game really shocked me. Yes, it was only three days notice, but the tickets were relatively cheap and it was a beautiful early fall day against a SEC opponent. It was easily drivable for much of Louisiana and MAYBE only 40k actually showed up.
I know my entire family had booked travel plans that weekend.
That might be the case for this game as well.
