It was my understanding that Larson was hurt most of the year. No reason to think he can’t start next year if healthy

Is Cowan gone?

He's ranked #338 in the draft.

I might be wrong but I think Jay was going to get him a chance to be a starter before his injury. We shall see

Dickerson was directly asked, mid season or so, if he was considering coming back: " I have dreamed about playing in the big Leagues ever since I was 3." The quoted comment from CJJ is 100% accurate as I heard it repeated on several podcasts as well as hearing myself.

Dickerson was always a single season mercenary

Frey is as good as gone, his measurables are elite

Similar situation with Shores, however he has to decide whether he wants to try to develop into a top 5 pick so there's a small chance he stays

Stanfield is a question mark

Larson would be a corner infielder or first base, should he return (depending on Stanfield).

Stanfield is a senior

He played 2 years at Auburn and one year here. He is not a projected early round pick, so he should be back.

Frey's measurables jump off the page. 6'6", strong, fast, plus power, etc. He's going to go pretty high in the draft and they'll put him in the OF in the minors.

Jay said in his postgame presser that three guys that pitched in the CWS would be in the big leagues in 18 months. I assume he meant Anderson, Eyanson, and Shores. Three guys that will be drafted next month.

I hope Larson stays and gets an opportunity to contribute next year. He has all the tools to be a great player.

I totally agree with this. That kid is very promising. I can envision him hitting the walk-off in our next Championship run.

I’m sure we’re far from done in the portal and in addition to Dardar and the present 2026 commitments, CJJ reels in another 4-5 impact players/pitchers.

I assume you mean corner outfielder.

Larson has more power than Stanfield, but is not nearly as good defensively.

Brown is bigger, faster, has more power, and a better arm than Larson. I don't see Larson replacing Brown.

Larson is not supplanting Curiel.

I see Larson competing with John Pearson for the DH/1B position and maybe as a PH or temporary replacement in the outfield if Brown or Stanfield has a slump. He may be a jack of all trades for us.

A rumor is starting saying that Ethan Frey receives new nil record for baseball by staying one, more year at LSU. It has been posted twice now after I posted same thing in another thread.

Another rumor is starting saying Shores comes back to a dollar less than Frey.

Reaves over Pearson at 3rd if he returns.
you’re getting downvoted but you would be correct. There’s a reason Reaves was playing over little Pearson in the field. And let’s not act like a guy can improve with the glove over the offseason, we’ve seen it with jones and Thompson just the last couple of years. Now if one of those top infielders from the recruiting class make it campus, watch out because a couple of those guys are studs.

Sounds about a likely as the rumor as we were coming up with enough NIL to keep Konnor Griffin from signing last year.
