I started a post a week ago saying Stud was leaving, but I couldn't reveal my sources. Everyone piled on and said I had no good info, where is the link, etc, etc.

Well, again I am proven correct...

Who would jump you over saying that. His house has been on the market since October. Brick took over his recruiting area around that same time. It's been a strong rumor for many months.

Who takes over though?

I would take my chances with Kevin having a clue on what he's doing. It's called a position coach and would find few that has his knowledge plus with his reputation and history with LSU I suspect recruits would listen.

Yes-- not sure how many years overdue, but this is indeed welcome news. I was very critical of Stud quite a bit on this board. Until this year, his defenders came out of the woodwork to defend him. They are mysteriously quiet now and Stud actually had relatively few defending him this season.

Coach Stud is a great coach and a great man.

I am truly sorry to see him leave LSU.

Thanks for all you've done for LSU, Coach Stud, and good luck wherever you are next.

He wasn't the best OL coach in college football, but he handled two roles for a couple of years as best as he could. He was a part of the success LSU has achieved under Les Miles.

Whether you liked him or not, let's quit dumping on ex-coaches and players. LSU is better than that.

Thanks Stud for your contributions! Best of luck with your future.

Is LSU still on the hook for one more year of Studs contract?

He signed a 3 year deal, 500K/yr

.....so, how many wishful thinkers have mentioned Kevin Mawae?

He is NOT going to be the next oline coach.

Rob Sale would be a solid choice.
