Yeah it will be interesting when a team like LSU or Florida gets sent up to Wisconsin in the snow for a playoff game. Most of those players have never been in weather like that.

They are sleeping on FSU. They raided Bama's roster I think they're going to be way better than they think.

If Cristobal isn't doing stupid ish, and they handle Florida game one, i don't see them losing another game until somewhere in the playoffs.
Miami is all these analyst picks to get in, not because they think their good, but go look at that schedule. They play 1 ranked team, fsu... and fsu is likely taking a few steps way back losing 6 all American or 1st team all acc kids (qb, wr, wr, de, de, dt). Must be nice

fair enough but one thing is true despite that, they won't have to slug it out against SEC caliber opponents all season long, and they'll have less injuries, 2s and 3s will get more experience, and will have a better opportunity to gel as a team with a considerably softer schedule
ETA: that's more than one thing, but you get my drift

As long as we're in the playoffs, I'd be happy. Home game would be preferable, but just get us in baby.

The worst part of a trip to Happy Valley for the 1st round would be the weather. December in that area is no fun.

I must have underestimated 5 of their 7 wins last yr against Miami Ohio, bethane cookman, temple, 85 bears esk Virginia, and always on the cusp of greatness Boston college.
The qb could be very dynamic, especially in the acc, and they are very talented at tackle, rb, and did well in the portal. So did a lot of teams. The #1, reason every analyst says their in their playoff scenario, is a joke of a schedule. Could be a solid team, just saying they don't play anyone.

First round looks like an elimination round for the SEC
Posted on 8/23/24 at 8:11 am to jbraua
Texas, Ole Miss, and Mizzou have the easiest schedules in the SEC.

Memphis? Utah and Miami top 4? What dimension is this?

Miami at 3? How?
How do y’all not understand this yet? The 4 P4 Conference Champions will automatically get a bye and be seeded in the top 4. Nobody is suggesting Miami will be the 3rd best team in college football this year. Or Utah will be #4.
As far as this bracket goes, it would suck not to host a 1st round game, but at Texas with a quarterfinal game against Miami is a pretty good draw. I think I’d much rather play that 1st round on the road if we’re getting Miami or Utah on a neutral site in the quarters. Hosting and winning, but having to face either Georgia or Ohio State would suck.
Obviously, the best option (save from winning the SEC) would be to be Texas or Oregon and host the 1st round and then face Miami or Utah in the quarters.

Not gonna lie, a whiteout game in Happy Valley would be awesome for LSU fans, but I can't see LSU escaping out of there with a win. That's number 1 bucket list place for me.
