Says the committee’s decision to drop LSU was bad. Brought up we’ve beaten 4 top 10 teams and maybe 5 if we beat Georgia. Ryan Clark jumped in and said this was a predetermined move by the committee. Both think it’s 100% because they think the committee doesn’t want LSU to play Alabama again if Bama gets the 4th spot.

Was just about to post this. That baw went in on the committee and said what we are all thinking.

He essentially called the committee out for lying about not planning ahead. He also said the system is a joke because LSU is by far and away having the best season this year.

If the committee is that hellbent on no rematch, why are they even considering putting Alabama in anyway?

They have shown they can just do whatever the hell they want.

This exact question was asked at the opening press conference of the playoff and Bill Hancock explicitly stated that there would be "no dropping of lines" to seed teams against rematches. He said they will seed teams as they are, best to worst, and the chips will fall as they may. The committee is terrible. It should be the BCS and be done with it.

Which is why this system blows.

Not even 5 years in, and we already have the system being artificially manipulated for reasons unrelated to performance on a football field.

So LSU is penalized for beating Bama?

This is what I want to know. Why penalize LSU? If Alabama already lost to a playoff team, why not eliminate them?

I disagree
If anything committee doesn't want an all sec matchup in finals again
This allows committee to drop LSU out altogether if UGA beats undefeated LSU in sec champ
It also allows committee to bump Utah or Oklahoma if they win out and have a conf champ on it's resume over Bama

We’re being penalized for scheduling a home and home with Texas and beating them on their turf, also for destroying Arky and calling off the dogs early

Potentially.

For going undefeated and winning the SEC West, LSU may be rewarded with the opportunity to play an additional game against top-5 opponent for the privilege of re-matching with a team they already beat on the road.

What a great system.

I think a lot of it is the entertainment factor. If LSU were #1 last night that'd be how many weeks with no change at the top?

Like Heisman trophies in the past. We've known who would ultimately win it but a week or two leading up to the ceremony, ESPN starts pushing another candidate. They want drama. They want people to tune in. Think about how many people will tune in NEXT week to see if anything's changed.

The way I’m looking at these top 6 teams Bama is the weakest without Tua. I’d love to see LSU kick them out of the playoffs.

The easiest way to look at this is:

AP says LSU is #1
Coaches poll has LSU #1
Using the old BCS computer model LSU is #1

CFP committee makes LSU #2. That tells you everything right there.

Because they’re idiots that want to live in some vacuum world where we don’t play in the toughest division of the toughest conference in America.

I agree with this!

BAMA is out if OU or Utah wins out and without OSU or Clemson losing LSU must win out!

Honestly that sums it up. I don't know how many of you tweeted that at the committee but it should be a lot more.

It doesn’t matter. There is NOTHING you can do about any of this, and so it’s irrelevant. The only thing that’s relevant right now is curb stomping A&M

THATS IT!!!!!!!!!
