Hands down the most drunk I was for a day game was App St, so that gets my vote.

For a 10 a.m. kickoff? Surely this had something to do with the night before.

so many of the games people are mentioning were night games such as '79 USC, '07 Fla, '83 Washington ----

2003 probably, but 1969 against Auburn and Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan is a close 2nd. Tigers win 21-20. Bevan blocks the game tying extra point. Andy Hamilton scores on the first play from scrimmage on a halfback pass.

I'm ashamed to say I turned off 2010 Bama game. The offense looked so stagnant I couldn't bear to watch anymore.

But I was at 2003 UGA and it was up there with the best of games I've been to.

Never knew this bit of history. Hopefully Tulane gets their act together soon so there can be a real rivalry again.

believe this was the game where the fight lasted longer than the game and only nightfall stopped it.

Freaking App St was so humid with the hurricane approaching and the sun was straight beating down. Stilled loved trolling Michigan fan friend after that game.

The USC game was "on" ESPN but ESPN wasn't broadcasting CFB games live then. Rather, they were broadcast multiple times during the ensuing week. Would love to see replay of the entire game.

The greatest day IMO was Arky in '11 - 1vs 3 and capped a perfect regular season.

Also, with Ga leading & things looking dim, at 5:00 pm, the announcer directed the fans' attention to the Pershing Rifles retiring the colors for the evening, and announced: "IT IS NOW SATURDAY NIGHT IN DEATH VALLEY!"

That didn't happen..... The Georgia game ended during the day.

And there was a whole lot of fail on page 1.

Florida 97 and 07 were most definitely night games.

I like that choice and had you asked me minutes after that game was over, this would be my response, but in hindsight it is almost like our domination in that game and the SEC championship game made us too over confidant for B@MA.

That 21-20 Auburn game was special. LSU was in a battle royale with those "other" Tigers: Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley were so good, clicking for War eagles. Went back and forth. Bevan blocks the XP to clinch the win. Very weird to be daylight in Tiger Stadium-- so rare back then (ABC paid some bucks, yes?)

To: The Boat . . .
The '03 Ga game did end when it was still daylight. The point is that when the colors were retired at 5:00, the announcer was taking the opportunity to claim that it was "technically" SATURDAY NIGHT - with all the meaux Jesus that goes with it. The crowd went nuts.

I doubt that happened because no one ever talks about that.

Remember it well. My first LSU game with my Dad.
Vividly remember driving up Airline Hwy past the Snake Farm, Roussell's, Bluebirds, Hoppers.

We sat in the SEZ right behind the goal posts.
Even though I was very young, it had to be the SEZ because I remember walking on a shell parking lot and seeing the "poles" holding up the end of the stadium - and the end zone was painted orange with blue "A U" in it.

My lttle ears were ringing when Andy caught the TD pass on the first play. It was glorious...
