That 21-20 Auburn game was special. LSU was in a battle royale with those "other" Tigers: Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley were so good, clicking for War eagles. Went back and forth. Bevan blocks the XP to clinch the win. Very weird to be daylight in Tiger Stadium-- so rare back then (ABC paid some bucks, yes?) :geauxtigers:

Pretty close to bottom of barrel: the loss to Miami OF OHIO. Ugh. Maybe it was 1987? Painful.
Date came open, when this particular SAT., which would have been Miss State, I believe, had to be moved (SEC /New Teams/ Hence, /New Schedule). Miss State got moved until late in the year, and there was a hole. HARD to find a team, any team, in the spring prior to the football season!! Not lots of choices, Towson State was the one.
That's why we are playing them. Period.
