Godspeed to those of you who live in Alabama. I couldn’t do it.

It’s not bad other than Bama fans. Much nicer state than Louisiana

Other than food, Alabama is superior to Louisiana in every other way. Bham is actually the perfect spot because you’re still close to LSU but far enough away to actually have 4 seasons and changes in elevation

I lived in Birmingham for 4 years while I went to Samford (01-05). The city has no culture. I guess it’s nice for kids but wow it’s boring AF. Congrats on the elevation though

FIFY. You’ve never been to Alabama if you think it’s not nicer than Louisiana. It’s not even remotely close

Just curious, how big is the LSU alum base in Bham?

Birmingham is a culture less dump. Over the mountain is phony. I lived there for a while.

I'll bet its better than the one in Houston. I also thought the attendance in Houston when Brian Kelly came to speak was embarrassing...

Alabama is fine as long as you don’t interact with any of the people here. Worse waterfowl but better deer and turkey hunting, close enough to the Gulf to get whatever seafood you want, good BBQ and not as hot and buggy. Nowhere near as polluted. Schools are supposedly better but in the South that’s a lot like being the tallest midget.
