Great win! But does it change anyone's predictions for the season ahead?

Don't get me wrong, this was a great victory for LSU football. I loved every second of it. The Tigers dominated and won by a far greater margin than I anticipated.

However, in my mind this win doesn't change my thoughts on the overall season. I still don't see LSU beating Auburn on the road, or Alabama or Georgia at home.

Of course, I'd like to see the Tigers win 'em all, but my question is, did last night's performance change anyone's mind about how they see the season play out?

I’m still 10-2 or 11-1.

We will be 3-0 two weeks from today. I don’t see us beating Bama with Tua at QB, but definitely see it being a tight game. I like our chances against Georgia at home with both teams going in undefeated in a top 5 matchup.

Auburn
Alabama
Georgia

We should be fine in all the other games. If LSU can dominate a team like Miami, we shouldn’t lose to teams like Florida, Mississippi State, or A&M.

If the offense progresses then yes

I hink The defense is as nasty as we thought it would be.

I think The offense showed promise but the OLine was rough, and for a while we looked like we didn’t know what we were doing.

Sounds good to me.

I've seen too much frickery at Auburn over the years. That game will be pivotal.

We looked better than I expected. However other teams on our schedule also looked better than I expected. 8-4 more likely than it was before but still think 7-5.

Auburn will be very telling.

It raises the floor from 6-6 to 8-4, but doesn’t change the ceiling (10-2).

However, if LSU manages to win at Auburn in convincing fashion in two weeks time, that ceiling will start to creep upwards significantly.

Nope, still think we go 10-2. We upset either Bama or UGA but have a let-down and lose to either Miss St, aTm or Fla.

Yeah. With the players only and reports of freshman not wanting to play special teams, I really was worried the wheels were loose/off. I’ll change mine from 7-5 to 9-3.

Still worried about line health/depth on both sides of the ball. Rashard was limping. Tyler pouting.

Yes it does for me. I was thinking 4 losses and now I think 2 is possible.

Yes. I expected 7-5/8-4. That wasn't going game by game, but I expected 3-4 losses out of Miami/Auburn/FU/UGA/Bama, plus an upset out of Moo U/OM/Aggy.

Now Miami is in the books as a win. While they're nowhere as good as expected, I think we sweep the second group. And I don't see us losing all four of the remaining games in the first group. I think we go 9-3/10-2 now.

No. Miami was overrated. Our defense was salty, we made a few physical mistakes on D, those will get fewer with some game experience. Rarely were we in the wrong place.

Offense still a major question mark. Burrow and Stone Cold Cole looked like two weak areas have been significantly improved, kickoffs and punts were way better than last year. Get back with me after our road trip to the Barn.

Really it depends on how well the offensive line develops and whether the WR can hang on to the ball. I was impressed with the Miami receiver's ball skills. They went up and got the ball and made plays.
Also, this team needs to stay relatively healthy.
