Honestly, if he can find a way to just help us get one or two stops in a game, it could be the difference maker. I don’t know if he can do that or not, I’m just saying every little bit can help.

Nah, it's too late to go undefeated.... we already lost 2 games, but it's entirely possible Jenkins can make a difference with the defensive line.

Coach Pete was my coach at Jerry Stovall's football camp back in the 80's. A pearl of a man and coach. Don't underestimate the impact that he will have on the team/players that have this opportunity to be coached by him.

IDK if it is just people who don't know shite about football or just stupid fans but it's amazing how many people on here have put down Jenkins on this board.

This ^^^ ... our defensive third down percentage is 47% according to Dandy Don, so, basically, we're nearly halfway through the season and we're yielding third down conversions every other time. That simply isn't good enough and we have to improve and figure out a way to get off the field.

Pete Jenkins has forgotten more about a college defense than anybody currently on LSU's coaching staff knows.

He may not be able to be hands on show them some technique but he can show them a lot and teach them a lot. I think the players will have lots of respect for him and listen to his wisdom.
I'm also hoping that he can convince House to change his scheme and give him some guidance on how this DL should be run. SO it is not just helping the players improve but hopefully impacting the DC.
If in fact the DL has been running Read and React, maybe Jenkins can't get that out of the system, if he sees fit.

I am sure some will but reality is maybe he can fix the dysfunction of this group that started when Jamar Cain left. That can help stabilize the other groups just through system synergy improvement.

Both. Also willfully ignorant and lazy AF. I didn’t recall the exact background with him so I just took a few minutes to check into it. Knowledge is kryptonite to these assclowns.
