Hanny is a frustrated wannabee jock and Risher loves the sound of his own voice. Hanny is still pissed because he didn't get Hawthorne's job. Take what they say with a huge grain of salt.

It doesn't matter who the OC is as long as Miles is the head coach. The offense will be stuck in the '70s with this Big Ten run-first, run-second, pass-third mentality.
Everybody realizes this except the pro-Miles bunch.
Cam isn't the problem. Miles is the problem.
He could take a team comprised entirely of 5 star NFL first round draft prospects and coach it back to the stone age.
ok so these 2 didn't watch the game saturday when LSU came out in shotgun / pistol formation on like 7 of its first 10 plays.
anyone else want to out themselves as people who don't know what they are talking about.

1st series- Pass, Run, Sack, Punt
2nd Series- Pass, Pass, Pass, Punt
3rd Series- Pass, Run, Run, Run, Run, Sack, Punt
4th Series- Run, Run, Pass, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Pass, Sack, Punt
5th Series- Run, Sack
6th Series- Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass (TD)
So prior to the last series of the half, we ran 6 passing plays and 16 running plays.

i definitely dont agree with the people defending Miles...but you do realize that the sacks were pass plays and not runs, right?

This is what passes for a "great point" these days? Re-heated takes from the rant?

wow , reading comprehension much?
first off, I said formation, not whether it was a run or pass play that was called.
secondly, lets look at the first 2 series. 5 pass plays in the first two series. LSU very quickly went down 14-0.
look, you dont have to convince me that LSU needs a balanced attack. I have been very vocal about the boring offense. but the truth of the matter is LSU came out trying to spread arkansas out, it failed miserably, lsu fell behind, and never stood a chance.
Posted on 11/19/15 at 7:14 am to Andre
Lsu was shotgun and pistol 3 wide most of the first half.
I'm truly convinced these people do not watch the games.

I don't know man, what is it that he's doing that's so great as it is?
Well, he was bringing in Franks and Harris' development has been OK. He's staying in the pocket under pressure more and completing passes at a better rate than his predecessor.

Solid plan to try to implement a completely new offense in a week against a team who can't stop the run........Surely it wouldn't have been a better idea to try to implement it with 2 weeks off against a team in Bama that has more trouble with hurry up, spread offenses...............They panicked, which is pretty telling about this staff..
The team was confused and discombobulated the entire time.......running a "hurry up" that still took the whole fricking play clock to get the call in.....
IT'S A frickING MESS!!! Every facet of the game...

11 passing, 12 running plays
and holy shite... I don't think this has ever happened under miles ever
9 passing plays in a row en route to a TD?

You're all arguing semantics again. Okay - one game out of the last 50 we come in with a pass first scheme - big deal. The point is when are coaches responsible for a failing performance. More often than not since 2008 - the pass O at LSU has been ranked lower than 90th in the nation for the year. Anyone who thinks that is good is delusional.

On the first play of the game, Harris had Malachi Dupre open for a big gain. Harris hit a player in his helmet. On the next play, Colin Jeter does not block wide enough and Fournette has to slip outside. If LSU can an early touchdown, it is a different game. Yes, play calling needs improvement, but all the great schemes will never work if there is not proper execution. Of course, that also goes back to coaching.

Not sure if serious. Our QB's have been less than stellar.

This. You can't just expect these guys to come out and throw the ball all over the place successfully when you've been handcuffing them all year long. We should've been throwing the ball a lot early in the season against the easier part of our schedule but we didn't. Instead we rarely even went over 100 yards passing in most games.

quote:THIS comment hits the nail on the head. Why can't more people understand this??? The season is doomed from the start by how they choose to play these early games. They should have been getting Harris and the line a lot more reps, even when they felt they didn't need to.
