With the extra week in place, O should pull the plug now on Bo, come to terms that he was a bad idea and give the D extra time to adjust. Even if he can’t get his new guy right now, he could name an interim and have a better chance to get this group back on track this season.
If we don’t see vast defensive improvement, it likely hurts us with this monster defensive recruiting class we have in coming.

Letting him go hurts just as much if not, more since he’s been in contact with these kids for several months

Cut the man some slack, he’ll get it figured out

You have to at least give him a chance coming off of a bye week. You can't just assume that nothing will get better. They'll give Pelini until the end of the season to prove his worth, and then (if necessary) they'll pull the plug.

Yeah that’s the answer. Bail on a guy after 3 games and hope for the best.

does the extra week give us a giant discount on $7m or whatever we owe?

He's got the rest of the year to audition for his own job. Be patient

Pelini is safe for the rest of the season. LSU is not in a position to pay him for a 'buy out' right now even if they wanted to. Let's see how the season plays out, I would expect to see improvement and you know Coach O does!

Should have pulled the plug on O after the Troy loss. Bama should have pulled the plug on Saban after he lost to ULM. Va Tech should have fired Frank Beamer when he went 2-9 his first year. Georgia Tech should have fired Bobby Dodd after he went 4-6 his first year. It's just takes common sense and very high football IQ to realize
if you can't be successful in your first three games you need to be fired.

No extenuating circumstances can change this. It doesn't matter if you're implementing a new scheme, if you have virtually no starters from the previous year and had virtually no time to prepare your new starters for your new scheme. Those are just excuses for losers. I'm with you Evangelfan, let's fire everybody. If the new coaches we bring in can't turn it around in 3 games we'll fire them too.

Keep speaking the truth Evangelfan. You are the only smart one on this board!!

you never have had a contract I guess. It will cost LSU millions to let the Def. Coach go at this time. Just how many great coaches are available at present. Hold your powder and keep it dry for now.

Nope. Bo will get till the end of the season most likely unless we give up like 70 points to someone. Which I’m not ruling out.
