It’s starting to happen against pulseless defenses see Arkansas and A&M. He’s not improving. He makes the same mistakes over and over again. How big of a sample size is needed before either he changes his game or the next guy up gets a shot?

Cliff notes: Denbrock’s play calling was NOT why they failed to score there.

1. It's a timing route, that's predicated off Lacy executing the rub. Lacy didn't execute the rub. He has to come off of that route by Thomas. Good play design, horrible execution out wide.

BT is wide arse fricking open for a walk in TD.
Lacy didn't have to do a god damn thing other than run in the direction he ran in.
No idea why JD didn't throw the ball to him.

Jayden doesn't throw a catchable ball.

Is he inaccurate at times? Sure but plays like Lacey’s where it hits him in the numbers or the one to Brian Thomas that was underthrown sure but still hit him in the chest has to be caught.

We expect Jayden to be almost perfect but the receivers can drop ball in their chest and it’s not their fault because the ball isn’t exactly perfect. Spare me.

You think Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson or Terrace Marshall or Odell or Jarvis Landry are dropping those balls? These are the players these WR’s are compared to. Go make a freaking play and help your QB out.

1st play of the game. Daniels misses a wide open Nabers who blows by the safety AND Thomas who already has his man beat. What makes it worse is that Daniels is staring at them but still decides to check it down to the RB. Should have been a 75 yard TD to start the game.

Because Daniels can’t make that throw to Nabers, Nuss would have, Burrow definitely. The first play of the game was a perfect example of Daniels limitations. And the check down to the running back was thrown behind him.

Bad QB play makes everyone look bad.

OL looks bad.
WR look bad.
OC looks bad.
RB looks bad.
Defense is on the field too long and looks bad.

This why Daniels should be replaced.
I know it.

Most of us on here know it.

Everybody but stubborn Brain Kelly and the JD5 Choir Boys know it.

I want to see the Passing QB in there Reading Defenses, then throwing the ball to WR's, TE's and RB's.

I also want to see him throwing the ball into tight spaces that may or may not result in an interception. That's what Great/Good QB's have to do.......

He was directly responsible for the 4th down failures in the 1st half by not throwing to the correct receiver... that is not even addressing the rest of the game.

If your point guard scored 50 pts you would think he had a great game until you realize the opponent scored 90 and the rest of your team only scored 10...

The empty stays argument is so tiresome. Cool he had 500 yards of offense and 1 td with 3mins to go in the fourth down 30. Muh stats!!!!

This is dumb. Practically any ball within an open receiver's wingspan is a catchable ball. And, it's not like he's 2020 Finley out there throwing 60 mph bullets to receivers 5 yards downfield. Don't give the receivers a pass on the drops.

Like I said things need to improve, he wasn’t dog shite like this board continues to talk about. If you wanna say qb was the reason we lost, you’re a joke. It’s tiresome arguing with people that just have an agenda and overlook everything that doesn’t fit their view.

You’re correct. 470 in 2022 and 410 in 2023. Looked at both, put the wrong one.

346 passing and 64 rushing. The RBs had 49 rushing yards. We can argue he left a ton of yards on the board too.

I have a couple of stats for you. 12th in the SEC in passer rating, 13th in QBR.

It’s not a Daniels problem IMO, it’s a Denbrock problem. Our best 3 game stretch both as a team and for JD was Fla, OM and Bama last year. During that stretch Daniels averaged 18 rush attempts, mostly on designed runs, not scrambles, the RBs averaged 22 rush attempts and the run pass ratio was +50% run. Vs FSU we were +60% pass plays, the backs had 12 attempts and over 81% of the plays were called for JD. All of our losses with Daniels have had a similar breakdown. We have a winning formula for this QB and offense but Denbrock keeps fighting it.

Let's all realize the view from the stands is a lot different than the view on the field. Looks easier than it is in real time. That said, it seems like JD is hesitant to turn it loose at times. But his legs are a extra running back. I hope Nuss does get a chance at some point so we can put this to bed once and for all.

His first 2 years at ASU were exactly the same as now, doesn’t wanna throw in the middle of the field and likes to check it down. His 3rd year he started pushing it up the seams and he was throwing picks left and right. He just can’t do it, I don’t think he can find the safeties post snap at all so there’s no switch to flip. Either change the game plan or change the player. That’s the only way we’ll improve at the position.
